I have a few technical questions.

1. I looked in Forum FAQ and read that I can edit or delete posts by clicking the Edit link. But it does not tell me how to delete once I am in Edit mode. I have gone into edit mode for my posts and searched the entire screen but I do not see any link or check box or anything on how to actually delete that post. How do I delete one of my Forum Posts?

2. What is Open Buddy List? I clicked on it and a small window pops up but that window doesn't contain anything useful that I can see and I do not find any description or explanation of what a Buddy list does or could do for me.

3. I often am trying to find stories that I have read in the past but I do not have much success finding them. I post questions on the Forum "Searching for stories" and I do occasionally get replies that result in me finding the story, but most of these inquiries do NOT in that result. The Literotica Advanced story Search isn't very flexible or useful. I have found a few stories this way but not many.
I did see and read a post about using Google to search Literotica and have used it quite a few times. It is quite a bit better than the Literotica search but still doesn't produce the results for many of my searches.
What I most would like is to be able to search for a text string within a story. Sometimes one of the memories I have of a story is a phrase or dialog of one of the characters. If I could search the entire story for that phrase I would be useful.
Can you give me some tips on searching?

If you remember an exact phrase, perform your Google search like this. The quote marks are necessary, telling Google to search for those exact words in that exact order.

Thank you RejectReality for replying. I have used your suggestion a few times and actually found a couple of stories I was looking for.

I asked two other questions in my original post and so far, no one has answered them. So I am posting this reply in the hopes that someone in tech support can answer them.

I list them again here -
1. How do I delete one of my posts in this forum? I found info stating that its possible by clicking on edit, but once I am in edit, it's a mystery as to how to actually delete it.

2. What is an Open Buddy List? I have clicked on it but cannot figure out what its for or how I might use it.

You can't delete your own posts. The next best thing is to edit the post and replace whatever you typed with a long ellipse..............

Only moderators/admins can delete posts.

You add people to the buddy list by typing their name in the box. ( conversely, you add people to the ignore list the same way, in the box below the buddy list ) You only need to remember it generally, as the software searches member names and narrows it down with every letter you type. So long as you're reasonably close, the actual name should show up in the list.

Beyond that, I don't know what the value of the buddy list is, as I've never used it.

The ignore list, which is found in the same place, causes threads started by the ignored person to be invisible to you, hides their posts/avatars within other threads, and doesn't deliver private messages sent to you by them.
