The main male character is a high school math teacher working on his Master's degree. His best friend is slightly annoying and has a crush on the school counselor. She has a crush on the main character. The main love interest is a transfer student that is more mature than the other students. She dresses in more adult clothing that she inherited. She is basically on her own - last family member she was living with has died. Student and teacher want to be together, but can't figure out how. She goes to dance with another student, but only as cover. It goes badly, but teacher is there to rescue her. They declare their love for each other. He resigns his high school job to take college job. She's no longer his student so they can be together.
