Teacher quits job to take up twerking

Awhile back I saw a documentary on Porn production and a couple was featured who had their own website. She would appear with her husband or others or alone. Together as teachers they didn't make more then $50,000, but with their one amateur site they were in the high six figures.

I said it was disgusting....that the state of California allowed teachers to be paid so little. I don't blame the girl in the videos for quieting rather then living in debt. They really must do more to attract the best and brightest in teaching. Perhaps Jessica will go back to it one day.

That would be disgusting if it were true. My room mate just got her teaching credential and her first year at a high school is $52,000. My daughter's first teaching job at an elementary school 15 years ago was $36,000. Both in the same middle class school district.

But I agree that teachers overall are not well paid for the job they are required to perform. They put in a lot of unpaid hours and end up paying for many of their own classroom supplies.

I doubt an assistant kindergarten teacher in Florida makes minimum wage, but I don't know that for sure. Florida isn't exactly a state known for expenditures on education.
