I've always liked the basic/universal theme of "a man suddenly getting to see a woman he knows, in a way he couldn't before". And the teacher+beach/pool premise is an easy way to develop that basic theme in compelling ways.
By the way, when I say "teenagers", I hope it's obvious that I mean 18-19yo's.
I've only read one story like this on Lit.
I'd love to read another story like this written by someone who really likes the premise, and knows how to keep the reader immersed in that specific theme.
Here are some other particular themes I personally prefer to see in this story (some of these did not happen in the other story):
-- I value innocence, so I'd prefer that the teenager(s) is/are no longer in her class, and she's single.
-- Like I said, keep the reader immersed in the theme of the teacher being presented to the teenager(s) in a way he/they couldn't see before.
That's all I can think of for now.
