Tattoos around the hip bone area....

I'm going to get my first one touched up today and I was thinking of getting a butterfly that looks like my second one added to my hip area.

Pain scale in that area 1-10?

And, if you were with a lover and you undressed her to find a tattoo near her hip descretly placed that only you would find it, what would you like to see?

A flower, a butterfly? Something tiny is what I am looking for....

Oh something tiny won't be painful at all...now if you are ticklish like me...well. Hmm..I swirmed really bad...plus the vibration of the tool is kinda umm...nice. Pain scale...it got to the point where it felt like someone was scratching a sun burn...but nothing worse than that and my tat is large.

No complaints so far either...if anything it appears to be a major turn on...

Oh I love the feeling of getting a tattoo thats for sure...I'll just have to control myself during it since my younger cousin is the one taking me.

I just don't know what to get.....

My best friend said I should get two daisies with the centers of them being connecting hand cuffs...only i can not draw that and as cute as it sounds I dont know if I would be happy with that later on down the road.

I don't know about butterflies...seems like alot of people get those... I like the idea of the handcuffs....but like you said...you might not like it later on in life..

Perhaps a symbol? not necessarily japanese....cuz everyone is getting those too.

every tattoo parlor has a catalog or portfolio, tell them that is what you want, if they aren't busy they may show you in the book. if you can find something on the internet print it out, it doesn't have to be the size you want, you can show them how big you want by drawing the area you want it in.

they may draw it out for you real quick and put more detail on the skin, permitting you don't want it too small

rule of thumb.. closer it is to bone, the more painful it is.. nice tats, I've got 4 myself.. will take some pics and post..

Thanks! I don't know if this will help or not but usually if you have a good artist you can tell them what you want and they can draw it for you.

Btw.. I myself like the idea of the handcuffs!

I'm considering it even more now, I have had a tough year and I thik that would symbolize it good. The cuffs for the hard parts and the daisies for the good parts....

I have a tat on my hipbone... It took about 3 hours to do and only started to get annoying after about 2.5 of that... Compared to the armband it was nothing... Something to think about though... I always thought I had plenty of flesh on my hips But when you lay back on the table your hipbones are very prominant... The needle vibrating on the bone is what causes slight pain...

You mention having a tough year and wanting to symbolize the good and bad of it... How about the theatrical masks? Not sure how to say it but you know what I'm talking about... The Happy/Sad theatre masks...

Mistress even if you can't draw to save yourself you can just do a quick sketch of the general idea. most tattoo artists will be able to take your idea and give you a framable rendition in a matter of moments. You have some awesome work and I wish you all the best for your new tattoo. I'm starting to feel the itch myself. It's been 3 months since my last work.

I dated a girl a year or so ago that had a nice little bumble bee on one side and a beautiful red rose on the other.

Whoever did the work did a great job at placement just in front of the hip bone which helped highlight the tats.

One of the girls I work with has a tiny little green frog on her ankle that would work on the hip too.

I did it I got a new one! I was thinking of it being lower then it is but I really like where it is now, right near the hip bone. It's bigger then what I had planned on getting too but I did have him shrink the design. In a month I plan on getting another one exactly like it for my left side. I picked it out of the book and he changed it aorund some, and added in some yellow at the end of the petals for me. It stings pretty good right now, but wasn't that bad during the process, it was just closer to a sensitive area of my body is all.

I think I'm pretty happy with it. I'll look into the cuff and daisy one soon though see if I can get a friend to draw it for me. Tomorrow I go back to get the old one touched up (Ok only about 5 months old but still) So its a busy tatto week for me
