My wife is looking to get a tattoo. Would love you guys to suggest what to get done and where?

I have no tattoos but if I was to get one, I've always wanted to get a tattoo of a monkey on my back. I love irony though.

Translate slut into Chinese and then get it tattooed on her bikini line. My wife was thinking about doing similar, but with a butterfly or heart there too.

Here's some advice.
1. Find an artist who enjoys tattooing. Look at his/her body of work before even deciding what you want.
2. An artist will be able to draw out what your wife wants and where she wants it and make recommendations.
3. Avoid cliches. Cartoon characters were all the rage for a while, then Celtic stuff, stars seem to be in vogue now.
4. She should make sure it's really personal and therefore unique.

She could get something that suits her personality or remind her of a time in her life. Then again, She could look at some flash sheets and see if she likes any designs there.
Tattoos are awesome, and its all down to personal choice.

Have her get a tattoo that says 'I cant make my own decisions' on her forehead. Because that's what her husband asking for tattoo content/location ideas on HER body equates to.

How wonderful. Hope you or your wife or your kids have never asked anything from anyone for an opinion else you all would earn a fucking tattoo too.

my wife

my wife got her first tattoo a couple months ago in the midst of a sexual awakening. It's a lotus flower on her groin -- about halfway between her pussy and hip. beautiful combination of cute and sexy. We both love it.

Would love to see a picture of it.

Get one close to her pussy, in this way you get to expose her pussy at the same time to the tattoo artist and take pictures and videos for you later to enjoy.

imagine your wife bottomless with her legs wide open in a tattoo place with a man between her legs looking directly at your wife's intimate parts and few others around in the shop. Nice eh!

Well, apparently, men and women get tattoos for different reasons. Men will get tattoos that they think are cool, while women have a tendency to get something that has more of a sentimental value, such as a time in her life, a milestone..they're more symbolic if you will. I'm generalizing here, but I think it's probably true in a lot of cases.

She has to get something that speaks to HER and do it for herself. She should make sure it's what she wants. I would stay away from having your name tattooed on her. I've been with my hubby over 25 years and I wouldn't want him tattooing my name on him or vice-versa. Again, we like to think we'll be together forever, and you never know, we just may, but again, you never know where your future will take you and judging by the divorce rates, I wouldn't want either of us to be stuck with the other's name on their ass.

Placement is another consideration. Personally, I only get tattoos where I can cover them up easily. I know some people think they should be able to have exposed tattoos in the workplace, but reality is, that's not always feasible. You don't know where your future will take you, so it's something to keep in mind. Even if your present job allows you to leave them exposed, you may hamper future opportunities if you can't cover them up. More than one person has had nightmares in the workplace because of exposed tattooed pot leaves.

If she sees tattoos she likes on people or just finds them well done, she should by all means ask them about their artist. Most people will gladly share info on their experiences with you. Once you find an artist that you like, sit down with them and bounce ideas. A good artist will help guide you. If they don't, walk out and find another artist. This is something that's on your body for a lifetime. You need an artist you can trust.

Last of all, she must be sober. This is never something to be done while under the influence, be it drugs or alcohol. Having your judgement impaired is a recipe for disaster when it comes to having something permanent inked on your body.

The internet is a great resource for inspiration. Happy hunting!

She could get one on her ass that says "You must be (??) inches long to enjoy the ride." and let her decide how big it should be.

Nice idea.....

Seriously anyone who is thinking about getting a Chinese or Japanese character tattoo who doesn't speak the language should really really research well before getting one

There are so many bad kanji (or hanzi) tattoos out there.
Just look at this article:
