Well Tabby, as I'm sitting here with the newly affianced couple (and Miss red_rose) I think I can dish the scoop with veracity!

During the Austin Meet festivities, Someplace kindly handed out prizes for various posters' activities. Afterwards, PowrDragn (who, if you don't know him by his posts, is an incredibly kickass fellow) stood up on a chair and stated that there was one more announcement that needed to be made.

He turned to his beloved Nike (also a highly cool chica in her own right!) and pulled a white jewelers box from his pocket. It gets a little fuzzy at this point (as I was drunkenly squealing into red_rose's ear), but I do recall that Nike turned an interesting shade of fuschia.

After much aww-ing and ooh-ing, someone pointed out that we hadn't heard an acceptance yet!! Fortunately, the blushing bride-to-be, did indeed accept the charming proposal from her longtime love.

The ring (which I have dragged in front of my face at this moment) is a band of white gold (as the lady in question doesn't care for yellow gold) is 5 dark sapphires interspersed with 4 very sparkly diamonds! It's truly beautiful and suits Nike extraordinarily well.

Judging by his acuity in choosing her engagment ring, I foresee a long and happy life together for Nike and PowrDragn.

*sniffles daintily into a hanky*

It was nothing short of AWESOME!

They are the absolute cutest couple! It was the BEST kicker for a Lit-together. Everyone was so thrilled for them -- and the ring is STUNNING!

It really was just incredibly romantic and utterly perfect for them. Ohhhh her ring is to die for!!! And she was wearing this hot pink sweater and her face turned a matching color! heehee!
