I decicded to play with a recipe I saw online a while back so I went out and picked up a Steak and some Garlic.

I formed a pocket in a sheet of Aluminum Foil and placed the Garlic in it after topping it and removing the loose outer layer. To this I added 2 Table Spoons of Olive Oil, 1/2 Teaspoon Basil and 1/2 Teaspoon Crushed Rosemary. I closed the foil to make a pocket and placed it on the grill as it heated.

The steaks I seasoned with cracked pepper.

When the grill was hot I turned down the heat and let it sit for another five minutes before adding the steak.

At medium heat I cooked the steak for 7 minutes per side as the Garlic slowly cooked. When the steak was done to Medium Rare which is what I like I pulled it off the grill and let it sit for another five minutes before thin slicing it. Only then did I pull the Garlic off the grill. Opening the foil I drizzled the oil over the slices of steak then pulled out the Garlic.

The garlic was well cooked and very soft. I squeezed it out of the bulbs, (burning my finger tips in the process, ) and onto the slices of steak. Using a knife I mashed it into the meat then served it.

Oh was this good.

Definitely sounds that way. If you want another good recipe to try:

Take boneless, skinless chicken breasts, marinade in Italian dressing and fresh rosemary overnight. Grill until chicken is done, melt a piece of mozzarella cheese overtop, serve on pieces of garlic bread as a sandwich.

If I were a dog, I'd have bootlaces of drool hanging out of the corners of my mouth after reading that...

"And for those of you who watched the last programme I hope all your donuts turn out like Fanny's."

Well dinner tonight is the left over meat from last night, garnished with even more of the Roasted Garlic with a twist. In the foil I will be placing the Garlic, Basil and Rosemary. I will be increasing the amount of oil slightly and adding some sliced onion before closing it and roasting it.

Another favorite recipe of mine is to toss into a blender a small amount of Olive Oil, several cloves of Garlic and some sliced Onion. Puree this so it is nice and thick.

Split a couple of Chicken Breasts and place/spread a spoonful of the mix inside the chicken. Add a slice of Swiss Cheese then peg the breast closed. Use the remainder of the mix on the outside of the chicken then grill over indirect heat.
