Rush Limbaugh told his listeners that the Times Square bomber was a registered Democrat

"Guess what? Faisal Shahzad is a registered Democrat. I wonder if his SUV had an Obama sticker on it." --Rush Limbaugh, lying about the failed Times Square car bomber, who is not registered to vote, May 4, 2010

Joe Paterno, was an outspoken Republican who delivered a nominating speech for George H.W. Bush at the 1988 Republican convention and had headlined GOP campaign events over the years. He took what he knew about Mr. Sandusky and Sandusky's victims, to the grave.

In the 2008 election cycle, just one of the 120 head coaches in the sport’s top division donated money to Obama — Dick Tomey, who retired from San Jose State...

Tom Corbett, the Republican governor of Pennsylvania, was defeated in his bid for a second term, falling to Democratic businessman Tom Wolf

Corbett and the GOP-dominated Pennsylvania legislature cut a staggering $1 billion from public education after he took office in 2011. The distribution of the cuts was highly discriminatory, with poor students losing, on average, 50 percent more funding than rich kids.

In his first run for governor during the 2010 midterms, Corbett dominated in Centre County, where Penn State is located.

Campaign money

A great deal of money involved, and many political networks.

The auditor general’s office plans to look at whether undue political influence underpinned a state grant once bound for the Second Mile. The office also is set to run a routine audit of Penn State, likely beginning in mid-August, Mr. DePasquale said.

Problem with Universities, all across the nation

"...fear of retaliation for reporting concerns is also real and justified for staff and faculty — non-tenure line and tenure line — across the university.” He concluded: “At Penn State, retaliation is not isolated; it is systemic. It is part of a suite of condign ‘management tools’ that are deeply embedded in this very hierarchical institution’s DNA.”

Florida is the third-highest sex trafficking destination in the United States behind California and Texas.

Zika

Sexually transmitted diseases now include Zika.

Thanks to Republicans, sexually transmitted diseases are common.
International conglomerate corporations may be legally classified as people,
but a person that has no physical body, and no address, cannot get infected.

Corporate entities need tax breaks, free money and free services from tax payer funded programs, to have fines and fees removed, less restrictions, and less limits.

Republicans are working very hard, night and day, to give corporations everything they desire.

The Florida Sex Industry is for people that have bodies and addresses.

Unlike corporate entities with no physical bodies, Republicans have problems with scandal from extramarital affairs, sexually transmitted diseases and pregnant mistresses.

Republicans find it worthwhile to accept corporate donations. Money solves many problems.

Unfortunately, if you decide to access the Florida Sex Industry, you may get A.I.D.S, H.I.V., or a variation of a sexually transmitted disease that does not respond to medical treatment.

Zika can be sexually transmitted to your lover, your wife, your friend with benefits, your sex worker, a victim of rape, a rapist...

It is a difficult time for Republicans. In order to form a firm bond between Republicans, corporations, and the Extreme Right Religious Republicans, it has put serious efforts into the long process of removing people with physical bodies out of the loop. Republicans have had success in removing Planned Parenthood, where they dominate.Health clinics have been removed. Less funds are reaching people with bodies.

The hope of all Repubicans, is that The White House may one day, be governed by a President of the United States, that is in direct control of the most massive, the most powerful, the most corrupt international conglomerate corporation, on the face of the Earth. Why Should a Republican be forced to contend with the revolving door between life as a government employee, and life as the employee of a corporation ?
Who needs Democracy, when a corporation could manage everything?

Huzzah! The government of the United States becomes privatized!
Golden Parachutes for all Republicans that are part of a subsidiary of a corporation ?

Miami-Dade has the highest amount of uninsured working-age adults in the state and a “staggering” rate of STIs.

Palm Beach political officials were frantic. They begged Gov. Rick Scott to take immediate action, and make a concentrated effort on addressing the Zika problem.

"Zika will spread to Palm Beach."

Palm Beach now has two cases of Zika. One infection acquired during travel, and one from a mosquito bite.

State health officials announced Wednesday the third non-travel-related case of the Zika virus in Palm Beach County.

No further information was given on the infected person except that the individual experienced symptoms during the same time frame as the second Palm Beach County case announced Aug. 23.

There are now 47 people in Florida who have been infected with Zika by a domestic mosquito, specifically the aedes aegypti species.

Palm Beach County has had 33 cases of travel-related Zika. That ranks fourth in the state behind Miami-Dade (170), Broward (99) and Orange (67) counties.

Miami-Dade has the highest amount of uninsured working-age adults in the state and a “staggering” rate of STIs.

Christopher Estes, chief medical officer for the local Planned Parenthood office, said the organization has been preparing for the virus for months and informing patients. The next step is going door-to-door with Zika kits for pregnant women and informational fliers for everyone. The Planned Parenthood kits are based on the Florida Department of Health kits and contain insect repellant, standing water treatment tablets, educational materials in Spanish, English and Creole and condoms.

The Zika virus is transmitted through mosquito bites and unprotected sexual activity, which Estes said makes Zika a Sexually Transmitted Infection.

And STIs are Planned Parenthood’s specialty, said Lilian Tamayo, the CEO for Planned Parenthood of South, East and North Florida. She said Miami-Dade has the highest amount of uninsured working-age adults in the state and a “staggering” rate of STIs, setting the state up for a disaster unless there’s swift government action.

The images show the worst brain infections that doctors will ever see," says Dr. Deborah Levine, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, who contributed to the study. "Zika is such a severe infection [in fetuses]. Most doctors will have never seen brains like this before."

The images — published in the journal Radiology — are part of a special report put together by neurologists in Boston and doctors in northeastern Brazil who care for babies with Zika infections.

This epidemic cannot be swept under the rug and forgotten, as the others were. It might take a lifetime for this disease to be controlled.

The United States is having a problem providing care for elderly baby boomers, and the younger baby boomers are not getting younger.

Would Florida Planned Parenthood be able to do their Zika outreach if the Feds hadn't stepped in to make sure they get their funds?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/florida-planned-parenthood-funding_us_57b6a767e4b03d5136879b69

(Reuters) - A federal judge on Thursday (8/18/16) permanently blocked parts of a Florida law that aimed to cut off state funding for preventive health services at clinics that also provide abortions.

U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle had issued a preliminary order in June after state Planned Parenthood affiliates challenged provisions as unconstitutional. The June order had come just before the restrictions were to take effect.

“The preliminary injunction is made permanent with this order,” Hinkle wrote in a three-page decision.

The judge had found the clinics were unacceptably targeted by state efforts to eliminate funding for other healthcare services they also provided, such as birth control and screening for cancer and sexually transmitted diseases.

The Planned Parenthood lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, focused on the funding cuts. It said they jeopardized about $500,000 annually.

Planned Parenthood also challenged state inspections seeking to review 50 percent of patient medical records at abortion clinics.

Lillian Tamayo, chief executive of Planned Parenthood of South, East and North Florida, said the organization was grateful the court had halted part of the law signed by Republican Governor Rick Scott.
