The area here has the prettiest beaches. Great tiki bars and dancing if you like that sort of thing. The dolphin sightseeing cruises at sunset are great out of John's Pass.

The beach is a 5 min walk from my front door. Clearwater beach has some nice places to dine and dance. There is a 90 ft catamaran fishing boat for those that like to fish. The company I work for when I relocated here last April had a team building event and they took us fishing for half a day on it. Its was really nice.

There is bicycling, walking, parks, Frisbee golf, and the list goes on and on.

I'm afraid I don't own a boat right now. My divorce finalized over a year ago last December. So right now half of my income goes out to spousal and child support for the next 3 years and 9 months.....but who's counting. When that ends I plan to go on a vacation once per month for the entire year just to make up for this time frame right now.

The good part is the other half of my income provides me a pretty good lifestyle because I am careful financially, I'm not too needy and things such as my car are paid off.

Maybe it would be easier to understand if I explained that I figured out one day that I would rather be used by someone and know it upfront, simply enjoy the journey rather than to think I was building a relationship, only to discover I was actually being used under the disguise of a relationship.

This way its just as enjoyable without getting overly invested. Actually so far it seems to be working out better.

Its also dawned on me that I live in a cool place, one that most would find appealing for a short little vacation or afternoon get away.
