Let me introduce myself in the least pretentious way I can think of… I have found myself hijacking the UK thread in the Personals as I am comfortable there (I am not a playgrounder kind of girl). However, despite my open and friendly (yes I am damn it) disposition, I am concerned that my sometimes dominance is preventing new UK listers to come forward and say hi (see, I am lovely). So, I am going to try this thread!
I am happy to chat about various topics and sharing your favourite drink seems a good way to break the ice

So, I guess (with a nervous gulp and a not-freaky-smile) I shall kick this thread into ‘live’ and see what happens!

Sigh, I am lolling at myself - did I do the right thing - branching out on my own, not hiding in the UK thread? Feels a little scary but it is when it feels scary that I am most likely to do it

What do I do now? Should I sit and wait quietly? Hmmm, that is not me... no, I am more likely to ramble to myself until a friend shows up (until? maybe that is presumptuous).
Should I throw some topics out there? not sure... maybe it would give away too soon how dull and unintelligent I can be (yeah, this is NOT the politics board.. please move along)..

The GB takes a little more skin than the rest of Lit. Asking people to be nice in a thread is like asking santa for a pony. It will be hijacked, fucked with, and made into a political name calling mess.

We do not count or announce our favorite five letter colors, so there is that.

I am currently looking to see how I can 'move' this thread - as my less than 5 minute appearance has offended more people than I think I have managed in 3 months! Sigh.

Tallulah thanks for the warm welcome into your Cocktail Lounge. My wife and I are not heavy drinkers and prefer cheap or free American beer. If it's free we'll acept the good stuff.
We do enjoy a small glass, or pitcher, of wine produced in secluded cellars in Blackpoole if those are also free.
As for you getting off those UK threads it's a wonder you weren't beheaded or worse, butt fucked by those strange little men living under bridges.

Bring on the booze and those sexy big busted bar maids. Let's get this party started.
