Somebody shoot me. This is totally frustrating. My husband is an IM newbie and it's driving me crazy. He can't hold a thought, and types slowly. I think he forgot that I'm here.

I'm beginning to hate online communicating.

Does anyone else have this problem? How do you deal with it? Lit matches under their nails when you see them next? Some form of torture? Wait, this is a form of torture.

Practice, practice, practice...

I'm dealing with the a group of people from work, most of which are very new to the IM world. It's frustrating, it's slow, I at times think "write a fucking letter, it'd be faster". But the more time I spend with them the easier it becomes.

communicating online is a joke.. more so with people you know than people you dont.. you cant truly express emotions or thoughts online.. your merely typing, and its alot easier to misunderstand.. my worst fights w/ me previous girlfriend were in e mails..and they were so childish it was pathetic.. when someone means alot to me, i set boundries w/ e mails.. like not discussing important issues on the computer, its the easy way out, and it stifles real communication between two people..

thats just my thought.

I can kind of see that. At first I was happy that I could talk to him online. But it doesn't measure up to talking in person. But you gotta take what you can get sometimes.

You didn't say anything about emails in general, but about *your* emails.

thats what im talking about, my personal experiences..

It's getting a bit better as he gets used to talking like this. There's hope after all. Unfortunately, he's discovered the smileys in MSN. LOL
