Shooting up the college/university of your choice ? What was the excuse, this time ?

UC Santa Barbara

In the manifesto, [Elliot] Rodger described an encounter at an Isla Vista party when his anger culminated in a drunken attempt to shove two women off a 10-foot ledge. As Rodger described, he was unsuccessful and eventually beaten up by partygoers. One of those at the party, Yukito Isoda, talked about the encounter in an interview with KTLA.

“I vividly remember that night…he was really drunk and obnoxious and started kind of stumbling into us,” Isoda said.

Isoda was there visiting a friend’s party and said he put himself between Rodger and the women and pushed back.

“Next thing I know, he’s tumbling over the fence and ran away,” Isoda said. In hindsight, he added, “I would have pushed him harder off the ledge if I had the chance.”

1 dead, 3 wounded in shooting at Seattle Pacific University

http://seattletimes.com/html/localnews/2023778865_spushootingxml.html

Police say the suspect in a shooting at a small Seattle university was hospitalized twice in recent years for mental health evaluations.

Pete Caw is the assistant police chief in the suburb of Mountlake Terrace, where the suspect, Aaron Ybarra, lives. He said Friday that officers encountered Ybarra in 2010 and 2012.

Caw says both times, Ybarra was severely intoxicated and taken to Swedish Hospital in Edmonds for evaluation. In the October 2012 incident, police found him lying in a roadway.

Seattle Pacific University shooting suspect’s friend: ‘He seemed a little bit on the crazy side’

The 26-year-old gunman, Aaron Ybarra, was obsessed with the Columbine High School shootings and had even traveled to the Colorado site where two student gunmen killed 15 and injured another 21 fellow students in April 1999

Jason Wells said he had known Ybarra, 26, for six or seven years, and was shocked when he heard the news.

"It just makes me ill. I didn't think he'd be capable of something like that,” said Wells.

Wells told KIRO 7 overnight that he would see Ybarra occasionally at a local bar and let him crash at his house a few times.

Wells wouldn't elaborate much, but said Ybarra had some issues.

He said he convinced Ybarra to stop drinking at one point, and they would talk candidly about what was going on in their lives.

“When he'd call me at 3:30 in the morning, I would answer it and I would talk to him when he felt like he was going crazy or whatever, you know? He seemed a little bit on the crazy side, but he needed somebody to reel him back,” said Wells.

Police spent hours overnight searching Ybarra’s home in Mountlake Terrace. Ybarra was booked into jail late Thursday and should be in court for the first time on Friday.

Mountlake Terrace police Cmdr. Doug Hansen confirmed to KIRO 7 that Ybarra was was involuntarily committed at Swedish Hospital two times -- once in Oct. 2010; the other in Oct. 2012.

He is not a student at the university.

A police source told KIRO 7 that Ybarra admitted he was the gunman in Thursday’s shooting, and that before being booked, he told police he had a fascination with school shootings, had visited Columbine High School and said he "wanted to shoot up a school.”

Why did they kill the police in Las Vegas ? Five months of Right Wing Extremist propaganda ? Five years ?

Metro Police today identified Jerad Miller, 31, and Amanda Miller, 22, as unaligned extremists who carried out the ambush of Metro Officers Alyn Beck, 41, and Igor Soldo, 31

The assailants draped a “Don’t Tread on Me” Revolutionary War-era flag and a swastika over Officer Beck’s body, and pinned a note to Officer Soldo’s body that declared, “This is the beginning of the revolution.”

(Jerad Miller and his wife are said to have draped some object depicting a Gadsden flag, an omnipresent symbol within the Patriot and tea party movements, over the murdered officers.)

From there, the Millers went across the street to a Wal-Mart. Jerad Miller entered the front door, raised a handgun, fired a round and told the people to “Get out. This is a revolution. The police are on the way.”

"They (Jerad Miller and Amanda Miller ) were handing out white-power propaganda and were talking about doing the next Columbine," Moore said.

Sue Wyatt of Las Vegas returned to retrieve her car so she could go to work. She was in the store when the shooting started.

She said she heard someone shout, “We’re freedom fighters” and the sound of gunfire as she hid in the store’s photo lab area with other customers.
Wyatt said she was thankful no more people were killed or injured. “Quite frankly, it could have been a massacre,” she said.

Video has emerged of a media interview with Jerad Miller, one of the two shooters in the Las Vegas murder of two police officers and one bystander, during the Bundy Ranch standoff in April. In the interview, Miller states:

I feel sorry for any federal agents that want to come in here and try to push us around, or anything like that. I really don't want violence toward them, but if they're gonna come bring violence to us, well, if that's the language they want to speak, we'll learn it.

The national news is reporting what the two nutcases said, before they died.

Federal government pushing people around in Las Vegas? Someone was reading too many ultra-right wing blogs, listening to too many podcasts.

The only thing the federal government pushes in Vegas is MORE gambling.

My, shooting is certainly in fashion this season!

I just hope it doesn't grow clichéd from overexposure.

TROUTDALE -- One student was shot to death, one teacher injured and the shooter was dead after gunfire broke out inside Reynolds High School in Troutdale Tuesday morning, police said.

http://www.kgw.com/news/Breaking-Reports-of-gunfire-at-Reynolds-High-School-262541971.html

Troutdale police investigators say the student who was shot dead is a male.

PE/health teacher Todd Rispler, who had been grazed by a bullet. He was standing with several FBI agents, his short torn where he was grazed by a bullet near his hip, she said.

Troutdale police said that the shooter used a rifle.

This is the 74th shooting on a U.S. school campus since the killings in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012.

More answers about the attempted mass murder at the Seattle college-

The suspect charged with murder in last week's shooting that left one person dead and two wounded at Seattle Pacific University wrote a journal entry on the morning of the shooting stating "I just want people to die, and I'm going to die with them," prosecutors said.

In the weeks before the shooting, Aaron Ybarra, 26, kept a journal in which he allegedly expressed "admiration for the perpetrators of other incidents of mass violence -- at Columbine High School and at Virginia Tech University," King County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg said.

Ybarra allegedly kept the journal in anticipation that he would die in the attack, the prosecutor said.

gsgs- You see domestic violence end with the murder of wife, murder of children and relatives. The killer does something horrible enough to make his life no longer worth living.
He might chose to admit defeat and go to prison. He might choose to end his own life, or have the police end it for him.

You would think that Jerad Miller had provoked a death of "suicide by police." He killed two policemen.

The story changes- Police shot Jerad Miller, and shot Amanda Miller

Metro police initially thought Amanda Miller, 22, killed her husband in the Wal-Mart. That was based on security video footage that showed her pointing the gun at him, the official said.

But an autopsy revealed Tuesday that Jerad Miller died from a .223 rifle shot, the official said. It was Jerad’s fatal wound — his wife didn’t kill him, as police officials said Monday, the official said.

Amanda Miller did kill herself.

Their own personal siege-

The couple had hoped to join the militia standoff with federal agents trying to remove Bundy’s livestock from federal land, but they were kicked off the ranch after the militia learned Jerad Miller was an ex-felon carrying a gun.

The couple brought bags containing a shotgun, the officers’ handguns, two other handguns, 200 rounds of ammunition, knives, first aid supplies, camouflage clothing and MRE-style food.

At their apartment complex, police found detailed plans to take over an unidentified courthouse and execute public officials. Detectives also found three empty rifle cases and an empty box for handcuffs.

Jerad Miller's involvement with drugs, marijuana dealing, and the jail terms he served.
Jerad's violence had caused him to serve jail terms.

Around January, the month the Millers moved to Las Vegas, they were interviewed by federal law enforcement officers after they threatened to “shoot up” a Department of Motor Vehicles office in Indiana, according to a law enforcement official in Las Vegas.

gsgs comment- Obsession with their own misery, causes murder.

Attempted mass murder seems to be a trend toward indirect attempts of "suicide by police."

Instead of attacking a policeman directly, they attack victims. All the rest is fantasy and delusion.

Even Crazy Bundy the racist, knew enough to not provoke an all out gun battle. That would be inviting "suicide by police."
Bundy sent Jerad Miller away. Bundy was playing a game, for gain. Jerad Miller wanted to fight, and to kill.

Going down, fighting in a battle, is still "suicide by police."

gsgs comment-I do not remember where I heard this line- "Aren't all murders, crimes of hate ?"

"One gets the bends when news is breaking this fast, but I think we know where the Reynolds High debate is headed:

A shooter arms himself to do a great deal of damage.

The shooter surprises his first unprepared and innocent victim(s).
[The teenage student of Reynolds High School was arming himself for the assault he had planned-
One student and one teacher saw him preparing, and one of them died.
The teacher was wounded, but was able to get away, and get help.]

"He walked into the gymnasium building, a detached complex on the east end of the Troutdale school, and entered the boys locker room.

There, he suited up in or near a bathroom stall, putting on a non-ballistic vest to hold nine loaded magazines of ammunition and a multi-sport camouflage helmet. He removed the AR-15 rifle he had stashed in his guitar case.

Padgett "spent a period of time in the locker room," Troutdale Police Chief Scott Anderson said Wednesday.

Freshman Emilio Hoffman, 14, just happened to walk into the locker room and ran into Padgett as he was still suiting up or about to walk out, law enforcement sources said."

The shooter confronts someone with the ability to fight and fire back.

At which point the shooter -- determined to maintain control to the bitter end -- quickly retreats to a dark and lonely place, and kills himself."

(The murdering married couple, who killed two police officers in Las Vegas and a man at Walmart, seemed to have shared a suicide pact,
because the video footage shows them aiming their guns at each other, at the very end.)

"The chain of events may start with revenge. It may start with a suicidal person," says Farrenkopf, who has created psychological profiles of mass shooters.

"But (the shooters) are looking to hurt people. They're not looking for a gun fight. When the Clackamas shooter sees his target audience receding
and sees law enforcement coming en masse into the mall, he retreats into the back hallway.

"He's lost his motive. There's nothing more to be gained. His plan was never to be a shoot-out hero. He's left with his suicidality, which is where most of these shooters start."

(The whole world is to blame for their misery, and someone is going to pay for it ? I am going to die,
so let the whole world die with me ?" Where have we heard this, before ?
The grand philosophy of rebellion against corruption and oppression,
the grand plan of a revolution-

They had staged an act at a diner- that featured the murder of two policemen and retreated to Walmart
for the fight with police, that would come. An inevitable end, in "suicide by police."

They cannot control how the world around them is ordered, but to a certain extent, they seek for a way to control their deaths ?

The Murder of Dimebag Darrell

December 8, 2004

Coming to a high wooden fence blocking a patio on the club’s side, Nate Gale jumped up and grabbed hold of the top. Mitch Carpenter, a parking-lot security guard, saw the apparent gatecrasher and came running. Gale hauled himself quickly over and hit the pavement on the other side, his pockets clinking with steel and brass: a 9-mm Beretta semiautomatic, two clips and 30 extra bullets.

As Damageplan kicked the opening rumble of “Breathing New Life,” Gale stepped into the club. He walked fast through the crowd of 400, trailed by security guard Mitch Carpenter and another bouncer who joined the chase—both hesitant to attack someone his size, both assuming he was just a fan dodging the cover charge. Gale continued past the pool tables and across the tiled floor. He jogged up the steps to the carpeted seating section next to the sunken mosh pit area and darted behind the giant main speakers at the front of the stage.

He pushed past the club’s 19-year-old assistant, Emili Lewis, past stagehand Erin “Stoney” Halk, and strode quickly onto the stage. “My first reaction was, ‘OK, he’s just a kid who’s gonna crowd-surf,’” Lewis recalls. “Then I remember seeing him come right in front of the drum riser.” Silent against the deafening stage volume, the huge, mute, hooded figure of Nathan Gale emerged from behind a seven-foot-high wall of amplifiers. He walked across the stage, behind the bass player, behind the singer, and came up behind guitarist Dimebag Darrell.

As soon as Gale reached the middle of the stage, six-foot-one stagehand Erin Halk, a former Marine, and Damageplan’s head of security, the six-foot-eight, 346-lb. Jeffery “Mayhem” Thompson, started to converge on the apparent stage-diver from either side. Before they could get there, Gale pulled out his Beretta and grabbed Darrell Abbott in a headlock. Standing still, with his arm around his neck, Gale fired three shots into the back of his former hero’s head, then one more that struck the guitarist’s hand. Abbott fell forward, right leg twisting under him, his upper body slumping over his lightning-bolt-shaped guitar. The sound of feedback screeched in the air.

After the first shots, at 10:18 p.m., Alrosa Villa employee Emili Lewis fled the club to call the police. Before Gale could fire again, stagehand Erin Halk and security guard Jeff Thompson rushed him from opposite sides. There were several sharp reports, like firecrackers. Thompson was shot twice in the body and once in the leg; Halk took bullets in the hand and leg, and four in the chest. Both fell to the floor, fatally wounded.

Gale shot Damageplan’s tour manager, Chris Paluska, in the stomach, and then drum tech John “Kat” Brooks. In the tumult, Gale dropped his glasses and asked a stunned Jeff Greene from the opening band, Twelve Gauge, to help find them, gesturing downward with the pistol and then firing—possibly by accident—inches from Greene. His clip spent, Gale calmly ejected it and pulled a fresh one from his pocket.

Nathan Bray, 24, among the fans trying to help Dimebag, was administering CPR when he stopped, turned around and looked at Gale. He put both arms out, palms up, his gesture asking, “What the fuck, dude?” Gale slapped the new clip in and shot Bray in the chest, killing him.

Waving the Beretta, Gale backed away from the bodies and behind the wall of amplifiers. While fans and crew were trying to save the wounded, several police officers had stolen into the club from various entrances. Officer James D. Niggemeyer, 31, having entered through the back door, came sneaking up alongside the main speakers holding a Remington 870 12-gauge shotgun.

As cops closed in, Gale grabbed drum tech John Brooks, whom he had shot twice in the leg, and tried to use him as a shield.

As fans screamed and cops were pointing out Gale, Niggemeyer stepped out of the stage door with his shotgun raised. He moved around the drum set and fired at Gale’s face. Gale fell to the floor, dead. “I had to do it,” Niggemeyer said—to witnesses, to himself—as Gale lay by the stage. “I had to do it.”

By 11 p.m. on December 8, five people in the Alrosa Villa were dead, two wounded, and 400 left to make sense of what they’d witnessed.

Local man kills four

Nathan Gale gunned down four at nightclub in Columbus before being
killed by police

By RYAN HORNS

A Marysville man was shot and killed by Columbus police Wednesday night
after he allegedly opened fire on a national band performing at the
Alrosa Villa on Sinclair Road in Columbus.
Nathan Gale, 25, of 111 1/2 E. Fifth St. reportedly jumped on stage at
the nightclub just after 10 p.m. during the Damageplan concert and began
firing a hand gun. Five people are now reportedly dead as a result,
including Gale who was killed by police.
A Columbus police spokesman reported that Gale forced his way on to the
stage and shot members of Damageplan in front of about 200 people.
Damageplan guitarist Darrel "Dimebag" Abbott, 39, a former member of the
group Pantera, was reportedly killed first. Three others were killed
before a Columbus police officer arrived at the scene.
The officer entered the club and confronted Gale, who was reportedly
holding a hostage.
The officer shot and killed Gale.
Police spokeswoman Sherry Mercurio reportedly identified three of the
victims as Abbott and two other men, fan Nathan Bray, 23, and Erin Halk,
29. The fourth victim's name has not been reported.
Damage Plan contained two former members of the widely popular metal
band Pantera. The group disbanded and Damageplan started in its place.
Witnesses reported that Gale was shouting about the band breakup before
the shooting.
Marysville assistant police chief Glenn Nicol said this morning that he
went to Gale's apartment with Columbus police investigators to search
for evidence and speak with Gale's mother, Mary Clark, also of
Marysville.
Clark may have lived there because her name and contact information are
written on the apartment mail box. She was unavailable for comment this
morning and did not return phone calls. Nicol said Gale lived alone.
Nicol said all information on what the search revealed had to come from
Columbus police, who were not available for comment before press time.
What Nicol could provide was a list of Gale's involvement with
Marysville police which stretches back to 1999. None of the offenses
were serious and police did not have a mug shot on file. He said that
Gale is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs approximately 225 pounds.
"We had involvement with him generally on non-custodial arrests," Nicol
said, "which means he was just cited and then released."
Nicol reported Gale was charged in August 1997 for criminal trespassing
after skateboarding at the Kmart on North Main Street; June 1999 for
criminal trespassing after continually sleeping in a local park; and
October 2000 he was charged with driving under suspension; later that
year he reportedly stole a balance scale from his work place at
Industrial Ceramics; in December 2002 he was a witness in a vandalism of
a store window and in October of this year, he was a witness in the
vandalism of a window kicked out of a downtown business; last month he
was charged again with driving under suspension.
Gale is a 1998 graduate of Marysville High School, although he took
classes through Ohio Hi-Point Joint Vocational School in Bellefontaine.
He reportedly studied and completed the construction trade electrical
program there. He transferred to Marysville from the Benjamin Logan
School District in mid November of 1996.
Gale reportedly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps but
unconfirmed reports indicate he was discharged. Nicol said Gale had
reportedly been out of the Marines for a year.

Someone listened, and was paying attention, so nobody was killed

UW student arrested after threats to kill women.
Suspect praised Elliot Rodger, who killed students in California last month.
Held on $150,001 bail after Monday court hearing.
FBI involved; charges expected this week.

A Seattle man who was arrested after making threats to kill women at the University of Washington idolized Elliot Rodger, the deranged young man who killed innocent college students last month in California, police said.

Keshav Bhide, 23, used YouTube and Google+ to praise Rodger, saying in one message that “everything Elliot did is perfectly justified.”

Rodger killed seven people and wounded another 13 during a May 23 rampage in Isla Vista, California.

Court documents show Bhide’s comments were made before and after a mentally ill gunman killed one student and wounded two others June 5 at Seattle Pacific University.

Seattle police were alerted to Bhide’s comments online and involved the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Agents tracked his screen name to an apartment at 1128 N.E. 41st Street, near the University of Washington.

Court documents show Bhide is a UW student. He was expected to graduate this year, and was arrested Saturday afternoon.

Earlier this month, anonymous threats were made to UW sororities referencing the shootings in California. Chalk outlines were also left outside some UW sororities. It is not clear if Bhide was connected to those incidents.

In his online messages, Bhide ranted against women saying he would make sure he would kill only them. Another commenter told him to “please just call an escort service,” and gave details for how he could avoid losing his life or going to jail.

Bhide responded that he would “execute the same thing" as Elliot Rodger and that he had “no option,” according to court documents. Police said he used the screen name “Foss Dark.”

Bhide is being held on $150,001 bail for investigation of cyberstalking and felony harassment. He is expected to be charged later this week.
