For the passengers of Polynesian Airlines Flight 102, it was supposed to be just a normal day. Flying from Auckland to Los Angeles, the plane was scheduled to have a two hour layover in Tahiti for refueling and staff rotation. However, while preparing for the final approach to the island, a severe thunderstorm appeared seemingly out of nowhere, ripping the aircraft out of the sky and sending it tumbling violently through what can only be described as a vortex of swirling black clouds.
The pilot barely managed to steer the vessel out of the storm, but one of the engines exploded and he announced over the intercom that they were about to experience a crash landing on the shoreline. On the way down, he noticed all signs of modern civilization had vanished from the island, and soon the survivors would discover that somehow the storm plunged them centuries into the past, to a time when Tahiti was ruled by warrior tribes.
What makes a bizarre situation even weirder is that the handful of passengers who survived the crash begin developing supernatural powers, abilities that the Polynesian tribes seem to be aware of and possess themselves to a degree...
