Umm...

You might want to check out the "How To" section. They have flagged a few threads for newcomers.

I think it's 100 posts for an AV, then 1000 to change the title under your name yourself, although I can't recall how many it takes to automatically change it from virgin to experienced.

go to the playground and post one word responses in the never-ending threads there.

After a 100 you are experienced and by 1000 you get a custom title.

IIRC, at 30 posts, you are no longer a virgin; at 100, you move up to another level and can put in an avatar; at 1000, you can enter a custom title.

I think I can now put in an avatar. I can't find an avatar dinky enough.
