I don't think it was a bitch slap. More like trying to come to a win/win decision so both sides could declare victory.
Maybe if you assumed Goodell was rational, and not a power hungry sleaze bag. I find that a tough assumption to make.
The fact that it was the ex commissioner who come in and plays hero....That has to hurt.
From Goodell's perspective - probably. I'm sure he's royally pissed off.
From an objective perspective, Tags did say that the players were guilty of it, just that he thought the coaches corrupted the process and it wouldn't be fair to hold them accountable.
I think he tried to make everyone as happy as he could considering.

My only issue with this will be if Vilma goes ahead with the defamation law suit...
He got lucky and should walk away. Even if I don't think he should have been suspended all season, I still think he is a scum bag.
I have little doubt that this is true. That is why the players suspensions were ridicoulus...
