Good morning everyone and HAPPY THANKGIVING. Last night we went to see "the Aritist" at the Tabernacle here in Atlanta. He put on an incredible show in a fairly small venue. From the opening to the second encore, Prince really showed off his musical abilities. He played the guitar like he was born with one in his hands and rocked the keyboard. My head is still reeling from the music.
He has a whole new band(really wanted to see Rosie) and they were tight. The highlights of the night for the crowd came twice. Once when the band broke into Let's Go Crazy and then again for Purple Rain. Man that man can wail. He's no Eddie Van Halen, but he's up there. My wife(the reason I went in the first place) really enjoyed the show, as she is one of the biggest Prince fans. Went backstage to hang out for a few minutes and she got to meet him. Thought she was going to pass out when he gave her a hat he had worn on stage and a red velvet cloth he had wiped his brow with.
All in all it was a good show, and a great time for me and the fantasy goddess. Here's wishing you a HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Oh, and by the way, he's taken his name back and now refers to himself as PRINCE once again. So I told hime that he was the aritst formerly known as the artist formerly know as Prince. He gave me a strage look and my wife hit me, which cracked him up! I kill me.
