Hi Everyone,

I was very curious about self-Publishing and what is permitted.
I have a dozen or so short stories I’d like to combine and publish.

Thing is, that about 90% of my stories have incest themes (all purely fantasy).
Is there any self-Publishing platforms that accept these?

Thanks in advance

First you need to identify your self-publishing platforms, then you need to check their content policies. Do what I did, search with Google, then make your mind up.

I can tell you that KDP claim they don't allow incest, but a quick look at some of their titles suggests otherwise. I use Lulu, who hold authors accountable for legal content compliance (I have one novel with some non-paedophilic incest content, which is legal, thus allowed).

I found a few other publishing sites (but can't remember who they were) - most explicitly forbade incest. You just need to do your homework, read their content policies.

Smashwords allows incest content, but it won't get sent to their partners, like Apple and several others.

Amazon is publishing their own incest themed video series. Carnival Row

Seems kind of hypocritical that they won't accept similarly themed books from non-famous authors.

A whole lot more can and is released in the mainstream than erotic publishers will deal with in graphic theme terms.

Racy material brings in dollars but also creates headaches. I suspect the dollar-to-headache ratio for something like Carnival Row is rather better than for self-published incest erotica.
