I was thinking how to tackle categories I have either no feeling with or detest, and see what I can still make of it.

For taboo I think about a priest in a small village. He's a pillar of the community, being their listening ear as well as (religious) guide through life.

A woman in the village of now 20 comes up to him. There's religious questions, where you can delve into morality and such. It quickly has a sexual tint, like quoting sexual lines from the Holy Book, or questions about his stance on the allegations of his colleagues abusing people.

Over the next (few) visit(s) it becomes clear she wants him. She's inexperienced and can't do anything in this town without scrutiny. Her desires push her for solution, like certain ways she masturbates, though true sex is out of reach. She starts hinting that he is the only safe way to have sex in this town. He's the only one sworn to secrecy.

This of course doesn't fit with the priests world view. It is an abuse of power, or at the very least would look like it.

Over the course of several other meetings they discuss and grow closer, with times that are really close (he gets drunk at a party and she puts him to bed). She also finds out about his darker past, where he has done many things before he decided to become a priest to set his wrongs right.

Eventually he relents, trying to reason to himself he's helping her. Giving in to her every desire, and enjoying it too as before he became a priest.

It would be a slow burn, interspersed with graphic scenes of their past.

Sounds like a fine idea, and I would say it qualifies as taboo, but not in the way most readers in that category are looking for. Let me ask this though? Are you doing just to check the box? Just to put something in that category or are you legitimately drawn to the story and characters? The difference between those two will equate to the effort you put in and the quality of the story.

Thanks! This story is what would draw me to taboo. The checkbox is purely to see what I would like within a category.

You would need to be sure it's tagged as non-incest, since that's what most people are looking for in that category. Or, slip some in? Twin's coming to confess together?

I'm not sure about the 'priest getting drunk at a party' thing. How often do priest drink, much less to excess.

How familiar are you with the bible? (...like quoting sexual lines from the Holy Book) You might need to do some research here.
