It' Friday, I feel like a fuck, or at least a wank, and I'm stuck here in the fucking orifice till seven. Damn and blast it all.

I've been retired since 10 December. I haven't got used to the idea yet and I'm still clearing up the mess from moving everything out of my shop into our house.

I'll feel retired when I stop heaving heaps of books and other junk around. I spent today clearing out the garage to make room for more junk. Tomorrow - back to the garage for more sorting.

By the Spring I think I'll be able to think 'Where shall I go today?'. That is something to look forward to.

Now I have to wash the kitchen floor while my wife is at work. It should be dry by the time she ends her shift.

After that... Where did I put the sewing machine?

It's good cos I'm off at 3 and it's only been a 4-day week, but bad cos I'm not on holiday anymore and I have a 4pm appt. with my dentist, which is actually good cos yesterday I broke off a half (on the diagonal) of one of my two very front teeth and I cannot smile or open my mouth much when speaking (I can but I won't). But tonight will be good cos I'm going to see my niece play a boy in "Bye bye Birdie" and after, she, her dad (my bro.) and mom will provide a captive audience for my holiday tale, but then I will probably get really sad that I'm not in Yorkshire anymore so godonlyknows what the weekend will bring.
