System Diagnostic Tool?

Someone posted one some time ago, and I can't remember the name of it or find the post. I need a program that does a system check of things like the health of your motherboard, hard drive, etc. Anyone know of one?

My computer did something weird earlier, and I'm not sure if something is tearing up on it, or if I just hit the wrong button.

There are a lot of 'diagnostic tools,' some of which create errors, rather than solve them. However, PC World checks things out first.
