I need old fashioned, kind of flowery ones... I've used "bud" and "nub"... ahem... but can anyone think of more words that would easily and clearly replace "clit" in a non-explicit way???

These are from BlackChampagne.com:

• The little/bald man in the boat.
• The sugared almond
• The remote control (can never find it when you need it)
• Pearltongue (Chiefly black term.)

I've always liked "pearl" myself :cathappy:

Pearl isn't bad... I've used "gem" and "jewel" too...

but I'm looking for something really clearly substitutable... (is that a word?)... less of a euphemism, I guess. I can't think of one...

And I can't use modern terms, in this piece, actually... it's Ancient Greece ;)

Don't forget the apparent favorite of many authors - love button. ;)

Wikipedia just about covers every variation of name I could ever think of!

Bookmark this page... :D

My personal fave is Mooses Knuckle  :D

well pearl and oyster references are pretty common... how about something like root of all pleasure or... no... I'm stumped.

I like the victorian euphemism for cunnilingus ( as used by Sarah Waters in her novel of the same name) 'Tipping the Velvet'

Kernel and nugget are ones that come to mind, but they sound like breakfast cereal.

Of course, if you look closely at Sugar Smacks............

Mon petite morceau? (My little morsel)

Votre petit morceau est si delicieux (your little morsel is so delicious)
This post reminds me that are likely many untranslatable euphemisms, or those that are not as attractive in translation. Someone mentioned a 'sugared almond'. That is simply the translation for a French praline, used for the clitoris as its shape resembles it, plus its a sweet treat. Hearing the French pronunciation does call to mind that little (seemingly) bit of genitalia, 'sugared almond' does not.

Btw, it has been discovered, in the past year I believe, that what the medical establishment has always deemed the clitoris, is merely the accumulation of the anterior nerves of the whole thing. The clitoris extends into the walls that form the vagina, its base is what we think of as the vulva.

You can mix up things a little and re-use some things like bud, pearl, etc. by tacking on something about "at the apex of her lips" or some such. I do that quite a bit when I feel I've hit everything one too many times in close proximity, and it just feels different, even though you may be using a word over again.

Yeah, I've used core, center, the top of her little cleft, um, let's see, sensitive rosebud... the apex of her crevice...

mound and sex I've used in place of pussy (which also gets old after a while) along with the ever popular "between her thighs" reference...

maybe there's just too damned much sex in this one to keep mixing it up! :D

I couldn't decide between the two... it's "Back AV" week! :cathappy:

I run into that all the time too, lately. When you get into something historical, you run into all sorts of barriers. Things like BJs may have happened in that time period, but they certainly wouldn't be the norm, and thus will feel out of place if you put them in there and don't do it just right.

"wetness", "heat", and "wet heat" if you need some more mix up for the overall picture ( and haven't already exhausted them as well *laugh* )

Hmmm... utilized the hood much to indicate clit without saying clit? There's another possibility.

yeah... as in "unsheathed"... "his finger and thumb touching her pink, sheathed hood of skin and pulling it back to expose her completely..."

great ideas, tho, keep 'em cummin'... :D

Crikey... I'm about spent ;)

How about indication of movement ( up, down, whatever ) combined with sharp reactions to the touch, again indicating without pointing it out? I'm sure that one's already been worked over pretty good too :p

I think that about does it for me. I'm drawing a complete blank now.

not exactly old fashioned

A male friend of mine once described it as Nature's Rubix Cube.
