I was looking through CDs I bought while in high school, and came across Crash Test Dummies, God Shuffled His Feet. I love the lyrics to Swimming in Your Ocean... great bit of amusing, semi-erotic verse. I can relate to it:

"When I kneel before your bounty
Sometimes I wonder if there could be really
UFOs that come from other planets"

I love the phrase "kneel before your bounty." I can't think of a more poetic, romantic euphemism for carpet munching :).

Jeez dude, you're starting threads like you get paid for it!

But you're right, it's a nice little euphemism. :)

And yet he still doesn't have 100. You should hang around a little bit, sweetie.

I've always liked that specific album. There's the well known " Once there was this kid who got into an accident and couldn't come to school . . ." and my personal favourite is " The psychic."

The problem with "Swimming in your ocean", is that I don't really want to know about how ponderingly distracted someone can get while they're fucking someone else . . . Who wants to think about UFO's if they're making love?

"Bounty" evokes images of agrarian fertility, which in tern evokes feminine sexuality.

And, you have, later in the song:

"I wonder if my seed will find purchase in your soil," continuing the metaphor.

"Hey, I washed, mister!" she said indignantly, hands on hips.
