Hey out there.

I 've had a story idea floating round me head lately and am looking for feed back before working out weather to write the story.

The premis is that a guy who is never felt he has satisfied his partner in bed and is feeling at a lost.

He makes a wish or something and wakes transformed into a women and expreinces whats it's like for them during sex through some encouters he experinces.

Not sure if it's been done proabley has but the idea has been floating round me head in the last few days and i'm tempted to do it.

Please contribute some feed back and tell me if it's worth writing.

This is a premis that has kicked around in film since the 70's (Godfrey Cambridge - Watermelon Man) and reappears from time to time (Lilly Tomlin and Steve Martin did a take off in the 80's). But it's good and I can't remember seeing it on Lit. The story lends itself to Humor, Romantic Couplings, First Time (weird!) and a couple of other catagories.

I'd say do it.

The earliest version I know about is a full-length novel by Thorne Smith 'Turnabout' first published in the 1930s.

As a result of a wish to an idol brought back from the Far East by a disreputable uncle, he changes places with his wife. She has to take his place at work. He flirts with her male friends. She gets him pregnant and they are only switched back in the delivery suite.

It's a very interesting idea that doesn't receive enough space, since most men and women like reading about sex from the opposites point of view.

This premis as said before has been done with serveral takes on it but I have been thinking and throwing around ideas on how to add some twist to the idea.

As said the main character feels and knows he is not satisfing his partner in bed. He searches out for help, advice, books several help manuals. He becomes frustrated and becomes lost as these dont help. during these time of frustartion he has sex with different women until He decides to venture out and think out of the norm. He decides to put himself in her situation. The one who gets fuck, so he places himself in her shoes and has sex with gay/bisexual men, shemales. These encounters can be few to a dozen but ultimately he feels he needs to be truly a woman to understand his partner because the encounters were not decidely helpful with him and his woman in the bedroom.
This is were a fantasy element comes in..as in through some rituals he gets his wish and becomes a woman(for a certain time period as in example: 100 days). He as a woman has sexual relations with men and women. During these relations he gains a more appreciation for women and has come to a conflict of either being a man or a woman. The ending should have a twist as his girlfriend turing out being a lesbian. Kinda like a twisted love story.

This is just an idea I came up with when I read this thread if anyone wants to write or expand upon these ideas go ahead.

As far as the wish bit goes,the male character just wishes he could understand his partner/women better when it comes to sex and somehow without him saying so he finds himself tranformed into a women.

Keep up the feedback and feel free to suggest which catergory i shoild maybe think of putting the story in when hopefully i get round to writing it.

I think it would be tricky to make a man who felt like he had never satisfied a single partner seem sympathetic rather than pathetic. But me I like stories where a person gets suddenly, accidentally or because of someone else's sneaky plan, switched into a body of the other gender. So they get thrown for a loop and slowly adapt until they decide men and women aren't that different, their new body is just as good as their old one and they're not sure whether they want to go back to their original gender. Maybe they decide they want to compromise and become a hermaphrodite. I'm not saying the original idea is bad, just that this is an interesting variation to consider.

I'd suggest payback from a past lover because he simply did the roll on top, fuck, cum and go to sleep routine, except it's been done already.

Perhaps instead, it's halloween and he decides to dress up as a woman. Can have fun with the first's involved in going drag, like shaving your legs for the first time, shaving your pits, depending on what sort of outfit he is going to wear shaving privates, and of course makeup, teasing the hair, well in this case probably a wig.

Anyway, after all the shaving and putting on makeup and wig, he walks to the party, so he can learn how to walk in high heels, OK he is in high heels because he has a sadistic girlfriend, if you don't beleive me, try wearing them for 10 minutes and walking around.

At the party, he is beset upon by a few men who he turns down with I'm a guy or I'm in drag. One of the men however knows a witch doctor, so he gets a peice of the outfit and goes to him to get a spell cast. The next day, he wakes up hung over and goes through the funny what the heck I have breasts bit, figures out he is in a woman's body and then runs to his girlfriend for help.

After she stops laughing, she agree's to help him, but she has to teach him how to act and walk like a woman first. Well OK the act part is just fun, besides maybe she has a desire to sample another woman.

So after he learns how to walk and act like a woman, he has the voice of one of course, they get to go on a grand adventure to try and get the curse lifted, or spell, however you want to word that part.

Now it can go a few fun ways, he decides he likes being a woman and they don't look for the witch doctor, his girlfriend leaves him for the guy who got the spell/curse cast on him in the first place, now that way can go a few ways, ends there, he decides he will stay a woman to get sex easier or finds the witch doctor and gets himself changed back while changing either his girlfriend or the guy, perhaps both.

Now of course this being literotica, I think there should be tons of sex, like say the first guy they find from the party might know something but wants the changed guy, the girlfriend or both, so on and so forth.

I've done a gender-switch story before where the lead character, a man, becomes a woman and gets to enjoy lesbian sex. However, he doesn't have it with his wife; he has it with a couple of strippers, for his own benefit.

It's not precisely the same premise as this discussion, but I had planned on following it up with a sequel in which he transforms again and has lesbian sex with his wife.

Yann Martel (most famous for 'Life of Pi') has a novel called Self that deals with the same subject. It's a very deep, dark philosophical novel, highly recommended.
