It's true. They just reported this on the news.
Apparently, the American cow-farmers have focused too much on breeding cows with good looks, (
) instead of caring about the health and stamina of the cows. This has led to infertility among American cows, and to calves dying very young.
To improve the gene pool, Californian farmers have begun to import bull sperm from Sweden, where the focus have been on breeding cows that are healthy, fertile, and give a lot of milk to their healthy, long-living offspring as well as to humans.
The report doesn't say what the Californians think of the attractiveness of these Swedish-American halfbreeds...
