Please tell me I'm not the only one that would rather watch Barney than Surivor. Would it be wrong of me to say that I hope whoever produces that show gets convulsions tonight, and, instead of watching the Series Finale, he has to go into emergency surgery for a brain tumor? What ever happened to winning money through the lottery? You know, the easy way, were you don't risk getting eaten by sharks, just to win a million. Whew. I feel better.

THat, I'll agree with. I caught the people who were voted off on Letterman. Richard was caught on video naked. Why not Colleen? Or, perhaps that blonde from the 2nd installmet? That, I would watch.

I watched it once, 2nd season when the guy spent the night in the truck with his mother and compared to prison inmates having conjugal visits... that was weird. But the problem with reality programming is that it just takes so damned long to get to the point. With today's supposedly short attention spans, why do these shows get such high ratings?

I watched an episode of survivor once.. It was this huge cultural phenomenon, and I thought I might have been missing something. So I watched an episode, and decided that I was not.

...and if I had cable it would be for better net access, not for network television programs.

I don't really watch the shows either. I did watch the final show last night though. I don't really know why, it just caught my attention.
It was interesting to see the winner trying not to act too smug. And all the other competitors trying to act like it really wasn't a big deal. The audition tapes were also hilarious.

Plus, I got to see a 50 year old guy from VA in Bib overalls kicking up his heels and yodeling( I think?).

The next survivor show looks really hard. No food or staples to start off with. Just the bare essentials.
Too bad the only people watching will be their family's.
