Yes, I know, I know...double entendre galore.

Okay, I've managed to fumble my way through about 67 or 68% of a new story. And I'm stuck.

I need a woman's opinion. Preferably not a smart woman, or an articulate woman, or a potentially insensitive woman or a woman who will critisize my pityful speling. Just a woman who will read what I've written so far and then close her eyes and imagine she's the one who's tied down to the bed on her back in that cozy little log cabin. Naked and blindfolded. And then exhale slowly and tell me what she thinks I should do next.

And, ummm, if you really are SuperWoman, I'm sorry but I can't give you another erotic massage unless you can learn to control yourself better. My finger still hurts.

Dear MY,
How nice of you to specify your needs. We're particularly pleased that you chose this site to seek such a woman.

Ps. I am, however, disinclined to bandy either legs or roosters with the likes of you.
Pss. Esmerelda Weatherwax and Gytha Ogg are among the sagest of women.

In the words of Granny Weatherwax

Heartless it may be, but headless it ain't. I've never claimed to be nice, just to be sensible."

Hi DP...I counted all the words in the story (ran out of fingers and toes almost right away so I had to use bubbles) and then divided by a vowel.

You called?

Oh, but wait, I don't claim to be Brain of Britain or owt like that, but I ain't stoopid. I don't own an articulated lorry, either, but I can write proper, if I put my ickle thinking head on. Does that take me out of the running? :p

Lou (pulling yer leg, but nothing else. )

Who's my biggest idol, Gytha Ogg or Esme Weatherwax?

Now THAT's a Koan worth contemplating!

They don't come any cooler than Granny Weatherwax and that's a fact.

Yes, but Nanny Ogg is very cool, too. Granny wouldn't be nearly as effective without Gytha.

Ps. What would either of them be without Greebo?
Pps. I keep expecting another "Witch" novel by Pratchett. The last one was "Maskerade." They got Agnes Nitt back from the big city, and I thought the three of them would have further adventures. So far, though, nothing.

I'd be thinking about finding my pruning shears.

one of my favorite line from Nanny has to be

'Yes, bugger all that. Let's curse somebody

"The Hedgehog Can't Be Buggered"

I wish I knew the words to that song. Also "The Wizard's Staff Has a Knob on the End."

Did TP ever publish official full-length versions of those songs?

Dear r,
No, they're imaginary. He dedicated one of his books, though, to the many readers who sent in verses they made up to "A Hedgehog Can't be Bugged."
