This upcoming Wednesday is the season 8 finale for Supernatural. Episode 23 "Sacrifice". Who is going to watch it with me? :)

Oh honey, I am so far behind. I would have literally no idea what the fuck was going on.

Good.

Now shut the fuck up about your stupid little fantasy games, dipshit.

No after dean get's back from purgatory it's just more of the same ol' drama....So I dropped it

I cannot stop. That would involve not watching it anymore.

Oh no. Certainly not. This just means it will be on a 6 month hiatus during which I will suffer tremendous emotional agony and will need to be comforted even more with conversation about it - at least until season 9 starts. Sometimes reruns and fanfiction are not enough.

*lurked expecting major spoliers*

2 more days. I will put things way down the page in my post and put lots of warnings if I do end up revealing any thoughts or feelings about the episode. But if you are just starting the series then it will basically be like I am speaking a different language if I mention any names.

SERIOUSLY I JUST GOT TO THE PART WHERE THEIR DAD CLIMBS HIS WAY OUT OF HELL AND IT'S A HUGE FUCKING THING

Oops. Uhhhh.... Season 8 gets kinda weird. Actually everything with continuity suffers as soon as Kripke left after Season 5, so...

I fucking hate when they do that shit. Like Moffett to Who...

Yeah, when I recommend it to people just starting out, I tell them to stop after Season 5. ...if they can. Sometimes, they get caught in the trap like me, though.

In half an hour, it starts!

Someone sing with me! ♪ "Carry on my wayward sooooonnn!" ♫

I don't sing, it doesn't start in the civilized world for two and a half hours, season 5 was planned to be the last season and it really shows in seasons six and seven that they really didn't know what they were doing. Though Season 8 got on track rather well all things considered. I love this show but like everything else I watch it's time to say good bye. I hope 2014-2015 has be bitching about there being nothing on after Vampire Diaries and it's evil Twin True Blood both (should) bite the dust, Burn Notice is ending, Dexter is ending, hopefully Supernatural ends. Which will basically leave me with my cartoons.

Agreed that it should have ended after 5 but things really picked up this season and I would not give up Soulless Sam and Hallucination Lucifer for anything. They are already signed on for season 9 so hopefully they find a really tragic way to end it and put it to rest.

I liked this season as well but I'd gladly give up Souless Sam and Hallucination Lucifer (if he was a Hallucination. . .Maybe Sam's still in the cage.) for the better ending. Hell I was happy for almost a year when my original DVR of the show ended before Sam came walking out so I thought the show ended with Chuck vanishing. Which "confirmed" the rumor that he was actually God and had been guiding them almost the entire time. Note that none of the other prophets are actual prophets so much as translators.

Still I did enjoy this newest season and it was worth mucking through some crap to get to. Still like I said, this next year should pretty much be the end of everything I watch on TV. Which considering I'm starting to enjoy some webcasts might not be the worst thing ever. I'll just give tv a couple of years to lick it's wounds and get back to me.

Ew. No.

Yeah, I have noticed that. Have you also heard the theories that Charlie is God? So glad they haven't killed her yet. I do not know what will happen next for TV as far as new things coming out. But the Teen Wolf fandom keeps seducing me on Tumblr, so I might get into that either during this hiatus before season 9 of Spn starts or after it is completely over. It looks like it might be okay.

So, this was a really emotional time for me. My livestream crapped out in the middle last night and kept skipping but I caught up today and here is a summation of my feelings regarding the episode in a gif:

OMG. Someone else who has watched it, please, I need to talk to you. Please, come in here and discuss it with me. I am in pain and shock here.

I'm still partial to the Chuck was/is God theory. It kind of all syncs together really smoothly. He gives a lot of key information when it's needed, leaves when he's done playing, is a prophet unlike any of the others.

Really, forgiving Crowley damned us all angels? Anybody betting now that somehow forgiving Lucifer is next season's finale and what we went through with Crowley to part one of "Everything is about Love?" Cus color me unsurprised if that happens.

I think it was the things Metatron did that made the angels fall?

The ingredients for Metatron’s spell were:

1. Find the angel who loves humanity the most

2. Persuade him to kill a Nephillim, one of the children born of angel/ human love

3. Persuade him to take away a Cupid’s bow, the instrument by which Heaven helps people to fall in love

4. Rip out the, now tainted, grace of the angel who loves humanity the most

God instructed angels to love humans above all else.

Metatron’s spell was aimed specifically at defiling signs of love between angels and humans (love which God explicitly commanded), thus bringing about expulsion from Heaven.

The angels fall because Metatron’s spell recasts the original angelic sin (the one which got Lucifer thrown into the pit) that of not loving humanity.

Poor Cas, his love for people (and Dean specifically) made him the essential ingredient.

Too much heart was always Castiel’s problem…

Also, my favorite theory about this next season has to do with the episode in season 5 titled "The End" where Dean travels to the year 2014 and meets up with not only his future self but a human Cas and Sam ends up saying yes to Lucifer, who tells Dean that " no matter what you do, all roads end up here." This theory gives me chills because next year is 2014... :D

^^^ That would be awesome. Except we all know Lucifer was lying but if not damn that would be the king of twists.

It would! Especially since there is a reason for them to go poking back into the cage already set up: they left Adam in Hell. :D

BUT WAIT

WHAT IF THE ONLY WAY TO GIVE ALL THE FALLEN ANGELS THEIR GRACE BACK IS THAT SOME ANGEL HAVE TO GO UPSTAIRS AND KILL METATRON

AND THE ONLY ANGELS LEFT ARE MICHAEL AND LUCIFER INSIDE THE CAGE IN HELL

SO THEY HAVE TO LET THEM OUT AGAIN SO THEY CAN GET ACCESS TO HEAVEN AND KILL METATRON

AND THIS IS HOW LUCIFER SCREWS EVERYTHING UP AND THIS IS HOW THE 2014 EPISODE HAPPENS
