I admit that I like sunsets! The disadvantage living a bit far north, is that in the wintertime, the days are very short. On one of the shortest days of the year the sun rise at 8:38 am, and sets at 3:38 pm. But I wouldn't trade it for the long summer night, where the sun rises at 4:25 am and sets at 9:58 pm, and where you can see the sun wander under the horizon all of the night.

The following pictures are from a sunset in the summer time over the river that parts my part of Denmark.

#1

And the last one for now, taken from my living room over the rooftops on the buildings in the area I live.

Feel free to post any pictures you have of sunsets.

Beautiful...loved number 3. I posted one I a couple of days ago in the photo thread.

i love #3 too. Very pretty.

Here is a sunset taken from the back deck of Master's home in Rhode Island. The house literally sits half IN the lake... the deck is entirely OVER the lake. Great fishing spot ... heck He could just sit on the sofa here, if He wanted to.. and cast out the sliding glass doors which lead to that deck from which the photo was taken.

A more recent pic.. not a sunset. Our first snowfall came pretty early, 2nd week of November.

Wow those are all really beautiful. I am partial to twilight and sunsets myself. There is just something really mystical about them. It has been a long time since I've seen snow -- but I do remember that fresh scent in the air, the crisp crunching beneath my feet. thank you for sharing!

You're quite welcome, malcah_ms.
my dad lives in FL ... loves when i send pics of the snow. i like the snow, but mostly when viewed through the window from which the pic was taken... and i despise having to clear it from my truck first thing each morning before driving to work.. brrrrrr..... i don't like these cold temps at all ....

Yes I hear you. I grew up in the midwest and lived in Minnesota for 10 years. I had my fill! :) We moved to California and now live in Florida. I don't miss it. But I do miss it's beauty. It is nice from a distance though. :) Although my son does miss having "Godzilla breath" from his breath vapor.

I love sunsets and waterfalls and lighthouses. :)

Instead of posting a pic, I'll just change my av to one of my favorite sunset places.

Beautiful pictures. I love a good sunrise. It always makes my optimism soar.

However, the sunset is my favorite. I'm not a hundred percent sure why, but there's definitely something about the beginning of the night that sets my pulse a' racing.
