Before you read on, be warned: If you're looking for a thread where you make an introductory post, and are bleating like a wild thing in the next; you're in the wrong place. I intend for this to be a lengthy, in-depth thread with highly developed characters and a dynamic storyline. To put it clearly, story and characters will come first, and sex second or third. Sure, we'll probably be bleating like wild things sometime, but realistically. Well, maybe not completely realistically...

We all dream. All of us, throughout the vast universe, all of us fantasize about the impossible, the fantastical, the amazing. But dreams are just dreams, idle ways to spend our time, a small escape from our dull everyday lives. Behind these fantasies is the fuel called creativity, but as we grow and mature that fuel seems to creep away, to pass on to somewhere else. But where?
There is another place, a place where that creativity drifts across the vastness of time and space to a world beyond our wildest dreams, a place called Sumna. For time beyond comprehension the Villagers have lived in Sumna, cultivating the mysteries and wonders of their world, existing in a simple harmonic peace, what might be called a veritable heaven.
But their peace is coming to an end. Something, some thing, has happened to Sumna, gouging its way to their world across time and space. And along the way, it picked up a few hitchhikers.

That's the hook. Now I can be more forward about the actual roleplay.
Sumna is a world where all of the wasted "creative fuel" of humans exists in plentiful amounts. It's a peaceful world inhabited by regular Earth animals but with only one Village, the rest of the world is overgrown ruins and wildnerness. The Villagers are a small group of "special" beings that appear to live forever and never age. Who and what they are is part of the mystery. The most advanced technology on Sumna is probably a crossbow.Where do you come in? Some force recently tore violently through the fabric of the universe to Sumna, along the way it passed by planets and when it happened to skim past a human, that human was transported along with it to Sumna. You are one of these people. One minute you're sitting at you computer at work, and you doze off. The next moment you wake up in a field or ruin in Sumna.
But you're not the same. You know who you are, you still have all your memories of growing up in New York, but you're most certainly not the same. Each of you soon discovers that the power of Sumna has affected you, giving you a power of your own. Telepathy, flight, teleportation. Whatever you want.
Your character can be whoever you want, from wherever you want, so long as it's original. You could be an office worker like I mentioned, or you could be an Ancient Egyptian princess, a warrior from a far off planet, whatever. Complete creative freedom.
How will this work? It is a story intensive roleplay, and I have a clear map of various plot points and I'll be helping us along. It'll be traditional roleplay style, but I will also be utilizing NPC powers to direct some things. It won't be heavy-handed, don't worry about that. I won't be telling you what to think. It'll be more like... You finally make it to the top of the hill after a long climb, and I'll let you know what may or may not be on the other side.
Interested in joining? I'm not going to lie, I'm going to be rather selective. I'm looking for three to ten people who'll create quality posts and do so consistantly. If you think you're up to this, PM me your character idea, please, rather than posting here. You are more than welcome to post any of your questions or feedback here though (and help me bump

Note on powers: The only powers that won't really work are time travel (for kind of obvious reasons) and anything that'll make you overly powerful, like the ability to alter reality to whatever you want. Kind of a no brainer, thought I'd mention it anyways. Also, if you're interested in seeing some ideas on unique and creative powers, this website has some good ones.
And if this seems familiar, don't worry, you're not going crazy. This is actually the third time I've posted this idea. The other two times it just didn't seem to get off the ground. Some would be discouraged, but it seems every few months I fall back in love with this idea and have to post it again. At the risk of sounding desperate, I really think any and all quality writers will enjoy being a part of this thread. I have some crazy and awesome ideas for plot. Besides, who doesn't want to wake up with fresh air and fuckin' superpowers?
As a final note, if you like the idea, but don't think you can commit to being a full time cast member, PM me about "guest" roles. I have a few juicy ideas for smaller, less time-demanding parts that some of you awesome-but-busy fellas or ladies out there might enjoy.
Okay, that wasn't the final note. Hate me if you like, be annoyed with me if you will, but I am determined to see this thread work, so pooh-pooh on me if you like, but I intend to fill this thread with double-triple-quadruple-etc posts where I'm bumping. Cheers!
