From the UK Sun newpaper. Comment?

Beach babes have given a glowing welcome to a revolutionary new "see through" swimsuit which promises to banish tan lines forever.

The Tan Through range from Kiniki — launched earlier this month in time for Britain's anticipated tropical summer — is transparent when held up to the light.

Thousands of microscopic holes in the mesh fabric allow 80 per cent of sunlight to penetrate through and bronze the skin.

Described as "a chicken wire mesh material" the unique stretchy synthetic PBT yarn is effectively see-through but still impenetrable to the human gaze.

The wearer's modesty is preserved by "magic eye"-style animal prints and abstract patterns which confuse the eye so onlookers can only see a solid block of fabric.

Kiniki, who have developed a range of swimwear for men and women, say their patented Transol fabric will guarantee a smooth all-over tan.

Thousands of Brits have already snapped up clothing from the range, which includes all-in-one swimsuit, bikinis, wraps and men's briefs, tangas and hipsters.

A swimsuit bought direct from the company's website costs £34.30 while all other items are £17.43.

As someone more likely to burn than tan, this really doesn't do me much good. But even if it did...I'm not sure I want certain parts of me tan ;)

Here are some pictures of suits made with this material:

And for men who want to tan that special part of themselves....

Do be aware, gents, the elastic in that little red suit has to be removed (or, I guess, you have to lower it now and then as you sunbathe) as the sun can't penetrate that.

So these people want me to spend $55 to get an all over tan when I can lay naked out by the pool for free??? MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!! :D

(not to mention the fringe benies of Amy coming home for lunch...)

Those are OLD news.

Besides I LIKE tans lines.

The "optical illusion" on the men's suites is pretty minimal.....:rolleyes:

The article says that the bright colors also hide things. Or maybe the men have less to look at? ;)
Didn't read the article! LOL
I just look at the pictures!

Looked like they had ample packages! (not that I was looking!:D:rolleyes: )

I'd say.. get SHEER SUITS.... I dig sheer.

True, but you don't get arrested for the see through suits, if you don't have a private pool.

These or at least the idea is old news.

On the other hand I don't like them for several reasons.

Wearing a suit stops one from easily putting on tanning oil or lotions. (Sun burned nads hurt.)

I disagree with the laws dealing with public nudity.

They give people a false sense of security when it comes to sun protection.

Tan Lines can be interesting.

I disagree with the laws dealing with public nudity.

Gee, I wonder if Cat has an issue with public nudity laws

:D :D :D :p

You think?

As far as I'm concerned the laws against Public Nudity are a load of Bovine Excrement as are the ideas behind them.

In that case lets all go scandalize the Cape :D

Actually what I used to do with female companions after dark on the beaches around Onset would still get some of the biddies fired up :D

I certainly would never do frisky things around Onset. Now Coastguard Beach, that's a completely different thing!

I remember flying 4-5 years ago and seeing tan through suits in the SkyMall catalog.

I think there's something to be said for protecting certain bits from UV exposure.

I saw them even longer ago than that. I guess its one of those fashions that recycles over and over with the passage of time.

Regarding the men's suits, I offer two observations:

1) If I wanted an all-over tan, I would apply the appropriate oil and sunbathe in the nude where I could.

2) If I didn't want an all-over tan, why the hell would I want to wear a man's bikini that would allow my dick to be sun scorched?

Honestly, in relation to the rest of my body, my penis is fairly dark to begin with. If it got any darker, even if my body tanned, the contrast would be almost comical.
