As it says, if you've been here a week or even a decade.
Give the noobs a mainline injection of what you're all about, so they can get an immediate sense of who is in their opinion worth interacting with.
Perhaps this will help some avoid having a meltdown within their initial months here.
======================================
I mainly post in the Poetry Forum, wandering into the GeeBee when I am extremely bored.
I have most of the serial obsessive compulsive posters and attention whoors blocked, so I can more easily scan the threads for any interesting topics. Essentially, if you are a one trick pony repeating the same stooopid shit over and over, you eventually end up on my Ignore.
My PM box is usually disabled when there isn't a poetry challenge going on. There are very few people here I consider private message worthy. Some people here in the GeeBee tend to get their butt crack hair in a braid because they assume too much in what little they read, so I'll elaborate: I don't want to know anything about you other than what you post about yourself in the forum.
While I have as many as 4 alts in other poetry forums for creative purposes ( and occasionally beating on a troll ), one account here at Lit is more than enough for me.
If you attempt to start any needless drama with me, I will most likely call you something along the line of Dumbass and then spend the rest of my day doing something constructive as opposed to camping out on the forum trying to one up you. The exception is that I may be truly inspired to write a poem about what a Dumbass you are, yet I'm still being constructive ..... so I guess it evens out.
I was briefly a moderator here, but was demoted after I posted an opinion that Laurel did not appreciate any Lit moderators vocalizing ( relative to a bad experience that happened awhile back with some other moderator). To cite specific details would again broach said subject she would prefer not being vocalized. Some Dumbasses here continue to insist I was devastated by this demotion, even though as a moderator I could do little other than move topics betwixt and out of the Story forums.
EDIT:
And I have about 50 cats, one of which actually walked across my laptop and submitted this post before I could mention I have about 50 cats.
