Suicide

Does anyone know a painless, sure fire, yet undectable way to commit suicide? This person doesn't want anyone blamed for the death but doesn't want people to feel the guilt and horror that is associated with the suicide of a friend/family member.

you ask the impossible. All your questions have no satistfactory answer. Tell the person that it's much easier to live.

Can i ak why the person wants to kill themselves, and why you would wish to assist them?

I can think of many reasons why a person might want to commit the "perfect suicide" ..... to avoid losing an insurance benefit, to frame somebody for their murder, etc. And the perfect suicide is much more difficult to achieve that than perfect murder: you have to make all arrangements in advance, and you aren't around to fix any problems that might crop up after the fact! It is a truly sticky situation.

As for how to do it, well, that is the rub, isn't it? I suppose the best way is to find a remote spot where the body will never be found: jump into a volcano, or off of a cruise ship that you stowed away on, or into some sort of blast furnace where no remains will, well, remain, to be identified. But it all depends on what you want to be known, and what you do not want to be know, after you are gone. Lots of fascinating ideas here.....Carney

I am assuming that since you posted this in 'Story Ideas', you only ask because you want to put this into a story, and are not planning on killing yourself, as some of the other respondents seemed to think!

If I were to put it into a story, here are some possibilities:

• Driving off of a bridge on a wet evening. (This is a classic - perhaps it's a bit cliche.)

• A fire/explosion involving apparent 'faulty wiring' or something of the like (Obviously, I'm a bit vague on the details here, but you get the picture)

• Hiring a hit man to kill one's self. (Okay, I know this is a bit silly, but it could be a fun plot line, depending upon the mood of the piece.)

• Drinking oneself to death. (Also, dependent on the character/mood of the piece.)

• 'Accidental' heroin overdose. (See comment under 'drinking oneself to death'.)

• Taking medication to give oneself a deliberate heart attack.

On the other hand, if you are actually contemplating killing yourself as some of the other respondents seem to think, then please call your local mental crisis hotline and get some help.

Most of Darla's ideas are fine.

Carnevil9's ideas all have the drawback that you only disappear, and nobody knows for certain that you are dead - legal presumption of death takes a long time (7 years in the UK).

I can see why a budding Agatha Christie might ask this, but it's difficult to see the erotic twist on a site that doesn't really allow snuff.
