Does anyone know a painless, sure fire, yet undectable way to commit suicide? This person doesn't want anyone blamed for the death but doesn't want people to feel the guilt and horror that is associated with the suicide of a friend/family member.

Fortunately, this is a sex forum and where there is sex there is usually, or hopefully, a lot of life. I think you have the wrong place to ask, but I'm certain a professional would have a best answer.

Accidental explosion.

Some apparently minor loss of forethought with dangerous chemicals or gasses that one can reasonably expect in the environment wherein they are alone. It will appear as an accident. Without obvious premeditation or a suicide note, one must assume that it was not intentional. There will be no investigation into possible murder if it looks sufficiently like a careless accident and an explosion will blow up the body too fast for it to feel pain.

The problem then becomes a battle between believability and size. You want an explosion big enough to kill you rather than maim you but not big enough to put neighbors or people passing by in danger. You also want the means to deliver this force and be reasonably close enough to be hit and killed, but not in a position where it would seem to be obvious and that it's unbelievable that you would fail to notice the problem before it occurred. Gas explosions can be reasonable especially if you're absently holding a lighter and have a quizzical look on your face. Other means of explosions can also be devised that are even more believable. The trick of course is getting the right blast and not creating a fire instead. Burning to death is insanely painful.

So I can, sadly, assume that how to create blasts of this sort can be found somewhere on the net? Thats a little more complicated than I was hoping for but it could be just the thing

Is there no poison or chemical out there that fits this bill? Even if it took months for death to occur, if it were relatively painless, that wouldnt be a problem

I know of a couple of restaurants that will get someone at least half way ther. However, what with the libel laws, I'm gonna' have to pass.

I actually thought about having her do it through purposefully undercooking meat, leaving it out too long, etc... She actually thinks about doing it that way in the story, but since she isnt the only one in the house, she is afraid it would hurt more than just her

Mix bleach and ammonia and start scrubbing the garage floor.

That ought to do it.

Oh, BTW-

Suicide is a fucking cop-out, and just for the record: IT ALWAYS HURTS THE PEOPLE LEFT BEHIND.

You may now proceed with your day. :)

A heart attack is very painful. Even if you are clinically dead, heart stopped, you will still be alive for up to eight minutes or so. You will feel the pain as you are dying.

Oh, yes, I know what it feels like. I have had a heart attack and died - They were able to bring me back though, so I'm here to tell you it was really, really painful.

Well, easiest method. Trigger gas leak behind stove, or gas line entering house on thunderstorm night or perhaps night in general. If electricity goes out using kitchen matches to try and light candle will cause explosion and look like misfortune. Smoking is also an easy fuck up. Light up me hearties yo ho.

Beyond that, certain chemical spills can cause explosions when they reach burners or faulty electrical wires but more often than not they just cause fires.

A good thing to check on Potassium Chloride is if the character is in the right age group and whether Potassium Chloride shows up on a tox screening.

Other explosion methods. improperly refastened propane tanks following a barbeque and the cigarette accident, metal plate or fork in the microwave atop minifridge and grabbing coke accident (may only cause injury if "accidental timing" is off), and of course the classic leaving the dynamite in the stove again accident.

Ah. Explosions out then. Containable explosions that kill specifically at that close distance is too dangerous, too hard to accomplish without demolitions training, and near impossible to get right the first time trying it.

I lost my oldest son to suicide in 1976. He was 19, a college kid, and the note he left attributed his decision to a girlfriend who jilted him. He left the note, torn up, in a trash basket in his bedroom. But he shot himself through the head with my military issue .45 automatic, in my bedroom. What a waste of life. Took years to get to a point that I could even talk about it. So, yes, it DOES hurt those who are left behind.

A Georgia woman was recently convicted of murdering her husband and a former boyfriend (at different times, years apart) by lacing their food with anti-freeze. You could slowly kill yourself the same way, I suppose. It took several months for the guys to die.

Always, and it hurts forever. Suicide is a recurrent theme in my work- my last shrink said that it was my passive-aggressive nature manifesting a way to work through my own feelings. My response was "Bullshit. You don't work through the aftermath- you just live with it, and keep breathing, no matter how much it hurts."

Suicide always hurts those left behind, always and in and of itself is a fruitless act of self-pity. There are always other choices to ending your life, whether you believe it or not, death is final, there are no second chances with death.

It may stop your pain, but everyone you leave behind will feel the pain worse over the loss of you.
