3 bleak murder mysteries: SUICIDE RUN, CIELO AZUL, and ONE DOLLAR JACKPOT.
Suicide Run is about a gorgeous movie starlet who overdoses just when her career is taking off. Harry Bosch is assisted by a black clerk who's beautiful, a genius, and loves to work thru lunch. It violates my amazon rule.
Cielo Azul is about a nameless teen found dead on a mountainside. Ditto black clerk amazon.
One Dollar Jackpot is about a female gambler who wins big at poker and is shot/robbed in her driveway at home. Harry is assisted by a white amazon.
All the stories are good reads but I cant deal with caped clerks who wanna be detectives.
