I'm located in southern California and looking to treat my trans girlfriend to a weekend vacation. I was looking at palm springs but also open to LA, SD, and even vegas. Not sure how exactly how open she is but she did say she is open to clothing optional places. Any suggestions are appreciated. Oh and I'm not broke but also not balling so reasonable stuff please

Just back from Palm Springs, was a lot to do and a lot of fun. I was with my wife and we encountered many friendly gay men, not sure if we encountered any trans girls but I would probably not be able to tell anyways. I did get a few looks from guys which was fun, but because I was with my wife, nothing happened. Not sure what the social scene is like because we only went to a few tiki bars but it’s a friendly, tolerant town. We went for Modernism week and the following week was pride week.

As far as other things to do, there’s Joshua Tree about 45 minutes away, the mostly deserted Salton Sea about an hour away, Tram up to San Juacino mountain, Cabazon dinosaur roadside attraction, and of course, the mid-century homes. A fun place, good food and shopping, you’ll have a great time and probably won’t spend a lot of money. Unless you buy a house there!

Mike130 is definitely right! Several years ago I spent a week in Palm Springs for a convention/educational event. Palm Springs was great and I cannot imagine a better LBGTQIA destination.
