I don't necessarily think its the "female" because I have the same problem and the cause is every number of things from my profile to my stories. The funny thing is that it hasn't been my AV yet.

I have had 2 unsolicited pm's since I got here.
It could have something to do with the fact that I have not submitted any stories here and that I state in my profile and in my sig line that I am owned. That could be what is keeping the pms away.
