Suggestion about Author Dashboard/Reading Lists

Since there doesn't seem to be a "tech support" forum that users can post to directly I think I have to put this here.

Ever since "Reading Lists" became popular I notice that when I go to my Dashboard, the first page of "All Activity" is usually completely taken up by multiple "[user X] has added your story to a Reading List" messages. Which is kind of nice to know, but what I most want to see is if anyone has commented on one of my stories so that I can read the comment and find out what they thought. Nowadays I'm hitting the "Load More" button (sometimes more than once) and scanning message after message of the former sort just to find out if anything *else* has happened since I last checked.

What would be nice is if there were a way of sorting the messages so that I can look at, say, all the "[user X] has commented on your story" or the " ... has started following you" messages instead of having to manually search for the ones I want. Or alternatively, if the "Works Activity" page gave notifications if there is a *new* comment on a story, meaning I wouldn't be constantly thinking "hmmm, did that story have five or six comments on it last time I looked? Guess I better check."

That's my wish for 2022, I guess.

My dash board does register when a comment on a story has been made.

I too get notices of story comments. There is an option on the story submission page where comments can be turned off, it appears that the default is yes to comments being allowed.

The notices show up on the "Latest Activity" list, but I think the OP wanted it on the "Works" list.

I think the OP is asking for list/favorite notifications to be separate from comment notifications. A "My Comments" button at the top to filter out everything else, and leave only the comments posted, for example.

I could get on board with that. I typically catch any in this name, but I don't check Les or Dark as often, because I don't post new stories as often, and this one has become my default for the forum. It can be a bit of a pain to search back through in those names, and a comments-only filter would be nice.

Is it really that hard to sift through the "has added your story to a reading list" notifications? I haven't had any trouble finding the comments.

I would 1000% like this, I get about a 10:1 ratio of favorites/reading list notifications to comments.

As my stories are so unpopular, I don't have this problem 🤣
Same. Except when I wrote an Incest story, I've never got more than one add a day! I was used to getting about 10k views in a week. Getting 50k in a day was a shock to the wee system!

I'm confused, I've never gotten a notice someone added a story to a reading list. There is a count for reading lists by the stories on the new stories page, so I know my stories have been added to lists from that. I just didn't think notices were sent for that activity.

I see a notice when I get a favourite but not when added to a reading list - which makes sense to me: the favourite is when someone has read the story and likes it; the reading list, they haven't read it yet.
