hi

In the login section / View Current Submissions I believe there should be a link where approved appears to lead you to your story so that you can read comments left by the user and also read your own story.

What do the other authors feel ?
thanks in advance.

I've wondered that myself.

Why you can't get to your stories through your submissions page. Bit of a pain in the bum some days.

Aye, unless you have a public comment your buggered. Well not literally.....

If I want to look for one of my own stories I always end up having to go and search for myself *chuckles*

There IS a link to the comments, but I'm with doormouse. Sometimes I want a shortcut to my actual story.

I don't get it. I just have a bookmark to my member's pages, the same page my "cabinet" link leads to below my sig line. Everything I have published is right there.

I just know I'll forget where i put the bookmark *LOL*

Maybe I just like to search for myself. Its nice to be able to find me so easily *L*

Yeah, it'd be nice to have a link on the "View Current Submissions" page -- that opens in a NEW window, too. I've got mine bookmarked (as dr.M. does), but it's just an extra step.

I'd also like to see the ratings in parens on the other submissions page (the public one).

A lnk to your actual story would be good, but the benefit probably only has a short life span. The only time it is a hassle is when a story of mine has just been posted and I want to check that it isn't missing bits or something hasn't gone haywire.

But yes, I've bookmarked myself :D

Okay, stupid question here, but how do you bookmark a page?

<< hadn't even turned a PC on until 18 months ago and still lost.

If your using an Explorer Browser, there should be a Favorites box on top of your browser, to the far right... that's where mine is. It's passed the Stop, and back and forward, and refresh buttons

.
Press it, and a list of your favorite sites will come up on the left side of your page.

Now, press add, and just be on the page you want added. Then, whenever you want to go back there, just hit the favorites thing again, and you're there.

If you're using Aol, there ought be a heart in the upper right hand corner of the web page. Double click the heart, and you're ready to go.

I don't know if you're using anything else. Those are the only two I learned.

Oh okay, thanks poohlive.

I just didn't know it was called bookmarking when you did that.

I'm not sure which browser you're using, Doormouse, but at the top of the window, in the toolbar, there'll be a button (but it may not actually look like a button-may just be text), that says "Bookmarks."

When you have a page open that you'd like to bookmark, click on "Bookmarks" and at the top of the drop down menu that comes up when you click on it, it'll say "Bookmark this page." Click on that, and it's bookmarked.

To go back to one of your bookmarked pages, just click on "Bookmarks" and a list of your bookmarked pages will come up. Click on whichever one you'd like to go to, and voila'.

This is really embarassing to admit, when I first discovered the internet, I had to ask how to close/minimise a window.

LOL

Learned a bit since then thankfully :p

(and thanks cloudy  )
