Suddenly My Homepage Looks Weird

I didn't know where else to post this question. If I'm in the wrong place, please forgive. I'm on a Macbook Pro using Firefox. Suddenly last week when I go to my author's page to look at the activity and then my story/works page it doesn't load like normal. Instead I get these gigantic letters sort of spelling out "Literotica" in segments, a list of links in a vertical column on the left side, and to get to my stories, when I click I get a giant gray arrow (nearly full screen) and then a jumbled list of my stories, views, scores, etc also in a vertical column down the left side.

Anybody have any idea how or why this is suddenly happening? Is it happening to anybody else? Did something change in the Lit interface? Does Lit no longer work with Firefox? Anybody? Anybody? Bueller? Bueller? Lame jokes aside, thanks for the help. I appreciate it.

Lit Tech support, where you can post observations and questions, is a subforum under Site News and Tech Support. You can't post directly to the Site News and Tech Support forum.

I'm not seeing what you describe, but that doesn't mean it's completely unique to you. When you post your question, tell them what OS and what Firefox version you're using. You should be able to find the exact version by pulling down the "open application" menu (far right side of the toolbar on my Firefox), selecting Help and About FIrefox.

Thats what you get when the site’s formatting code doesn’t load. I guess it’s possible that Firefox or the site had an update that made them incompatible. Have you tried clearing your cache (or whatever it’s called, I apologize for not being very useful)?

Thank you. I'll go there next.

The site had an update which broke things, last Thursday. This is a known problem reported in the TechSupport forum, but it appears (so far) that nothing is going to be done about it.

I suspect you are running an older OSX (not even macOS). I have this problem on two systems, one running 10.10.5 and one running 10.9.x. Neither can be upgraded due to apps that have no macOS-compatible versions. The 10.10.5 system is my authoring computer, so I am not a happy camper.

I am currently on a MacBook Air running Monterey (macOS 12.6.3) and Firefox 113.0.2. It works fine with the site upgrades.

I do not know where the cutoff is where the CSS code does and doesn't work as far as OSX/macOS versions go. If you are able (or willing) to upgrade, that may well be your only solution.

Thank you all. I have taken the suggestions and posted on the Tech Support Forum. Thanks for the help.

That's probably my problem, which is tedious but not insurmountable. It means I'll need to email stories to my home PC to load stories (which is something I'd rather avoid), and check my CP less frequently (which I probably should do anyway).
