I don't think it describes a D/s relationship any more than it describes any relationship.

As a side note, I performed that song as a solo once in a theatrical performance. Great song.

I love all of her stuff... and it is better in concert. I am not too sure about D/s themes there though... just people stuff, IMO.

i would agree with it being about "people stuff"... i just recently read her book, where she describes her songs, and why she wrote them. That particular one was written when her and Julie were having problems, and Melissa wanted her to " Come to her window", meaning meet her halfway to solve their problems. Julie was upset about Melissa working so much, and being on tour....

Just thought i would share....
