You ever just have a burst of empowerment from straight out of the blue?

I've had a tobacco addiction for about 22 years now. I've unsuccessfully tried to quit several times. I woke up the other day and decided that this was the day. I have no idea where it all came from. It wasn't a planned out thing. I literally thought it when I woke up.

So far, so good. I'm on the downside of the physical need of the addiction. The mental aspect will take much longer, but I'm well in control of that too.

It seems so easy with this sudden burst of empowerment, but I know that it isn't from having tried to quit several times before.

So what's the difference between this time and the other times? Where does a sudden burst of empowerment like this come from?

I'm not sure where those sudden bursts come from, but I wish you the best of luck with kicking your addiction. I've had the same addiction for a few years now and even in what would seem to you a short time, every time I sit down at the computer, I need to light up. That would take me some time to kick.

Uh, no.

But good for you! How is it that I don't know about this addiction after that day adventure to the lake? Did I forget something again? I've been off my meds, so who knows.
