Not a site that will allow unlimited fawning over a felon sex abuser and an illegal immigrant, I'll give you that.

The Republicans finally have a healthcare plan! They want to slash funding for Medicaid. Of course.

The joint federal-state program provides health coverage for more than 70 million people, with the federal government covering anywhere from 50 to about 75 percent of the costs for traditional Medicaid but 90 percent for states that expanded coverage under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

The House Budget Committee on Thursday considered a plan that would instruct the Energy and Commerce Committee – which has jurisdiction over Medicaid – to find $880 billion in savings over the next 10 years.

“While some have suggested dramatic reductions in the Medicaid program as part of a reconciliation vehicle, we would urge Congress to reject that approach. Medicaid provides health care to many of our most vulnerable populations, including pregnant women, children, the elderly, disabled and many of our working class,” Rick Pollack, president and CEO of the American Hospital Association, said in a statement.

March might be an eye opening month. As all the fuck ups and delays start to begin to happen.

Medicaid cuts are on the table for the reconciliation bill Congress is working on. KFF estimates up to $1.7 trillion in federal spending could be saved by ending the Obamacare expansion.

“Asked about broader spending cuts in the Oval Office on Friday afternoon while signing executive orders, Trump said we’ll “love and cherish” Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, the last of which insures more than 70 million Americans.”

Removing people's subsidized access to healthcare is cheaper.

Does this sound like a good concept of a plan?

I know a guy (who) hired an exterminator because he had mice ( I assume you mean the house he owned or occupied had a mice infestation, not that he owned or kept mice), so the exterminator and his hired help poured gasoline in all rooms of his house and set it on fire! No more mice!
Well if the rodent infestation was that horific, that may have been the cheapest option. Then again the whole story could be bullshit.

Oh and fyp/yw

I suppose if you hire a fat lazy exterminator who doesn't have any idea about what he's doing, in that man's warped mind, burning the house down might seem like the best option.

Does anyone recall exactly what the "Obamacare expansion" was?
I admit I couldn't recall exactly it was, but since @BabyBoomer50s indulged in a bit of MAGA virtue signaling by referring to the Affordable Care Act by its former moniker "Obamacare" I wanted to see Wat this pearl-clutching was all about.
  • The "Medicaid Expansion" allowed families to make up to 138% of the Federal Poverty Level and still qualify for Medicaid (Not MediCARE).
  • States had to "opt in" to the Medicaid Expansion, if they did, the federal government would fund 90% of the cost of Medicaid, the states would pony up a measly 10%.
  • 40 states opted in. The seven core states of the Confederacy, Wyoming, Kansas and Wisconsin opted out.

In practical terms, all Medicaid Expansion did was permit a single working mother of two to earn up to $36,000 per year and still qualify for Medicaid. In the ten states that did not opt in, the working income was limited to $26,000 per year.

$36,000 per year is $3,000 per month, roughly $700 per week pre-tax.
$26,000 per year is $2,200 per month, roughly $500 per week pre-tax.

Cutting the Medicaid expansion from the Affordable Care Act would limit a working mother of three making more than $12.50 per hour from qualifying for government subsidized health care.

This is what you voted for, America.

I'm sure you can back this up with some evidence?

I've seen condemned houses from rodent infestations. Instead of tearing down the house, the VD Fire department ignited it, using the structure for practice.

Boomer's just a self centred prick. Thinks women should be either barefoot and pregnant, or waiting on him hand and foot.

BabyBoomer50s calling others "racist":

BabyBoomer50s being racist:

[Elizabeth Holms riots] Geez, the case hasn’t even gone to the jury and the rioters in CA are already looting the high end fashion stores. If the verdict goes the wrong way the streets of Walnut Creek, San Francisco, and LA could be filled with blondes in black turtlenecks. Not even going to guess how this would all go down if she were black.
