Submitting Stories - Checking if I've made an error in the submit process

It's been a few years since I wrote a story, but I returned to the board earlier this month and posted a newly written piece.

The FAQ's suggest each piece needs to be read by a human before acceptance, which we have always had, but I have a comment on my 'works activity' that says ' You have successfully submitted a story ' on 16th August - but it remains in that state. The story hasn't been accepted or returned. Before some ask, it's not pending, etc.

Does anyone know, or are the Moderators able to reply - is checking of uploaded submitted work just behind? I ask as the FAQ's suggest, 4 days to be dealt with, but I am currently looking at 14.

I have sent an email under the 'contact' guidance, but it has disappeared into the ether of no response.

Is anyone else experiencing or know current timescales? If not, what's best to do - i don't want to submit it twice or open the waiting story for fear of putting it back of the queue again.

Constructive replies please, as I am trying to learn.

Thank you. You are the first to help enlighten me. It appears the site is slow to load. Why a banner on the home page or a quick response to my centrally sent email could be actioned. It would certainly help all those wondering.

It appears my wait will go on, but I now know it's not because of my uploading process.
