I have stories posted from 18 years ago, and after a 10-year absence I have returned to the site with upwards of 900 stories written and ready to submit here (or publish on Kindle).

This includes many of my older stories edited and enhanced. Two weeks ago I submitted four stories and added "- EDIT" at the end of the title. After they were ignored, I went in again a couple days ago and changed the title to have "- EDITED" at the end, figuring maybe that was the problem.
But it's still not getting posted, or even acknowledged.

Has anyone submitted edited versions that they wanted to replace older originals? Does it typically take this long?

I have two new stories that are to slide in between the chapters of the edited versions, so I would like the edited versions to be in place before I submit.

I have edited my stories and they always go to the back of the queue so they normally take longer to post. I've had edited stories that took two weeks to get published. Also, each time you make changes to your submissions, they get put to the end of the queue again.

Typical advice is at least a week, usually longer, especially if a contest is running. Resubmit, don't touch it, and wait. After two weeks, a polite email to Laurel usually works.

Did you say 900 stories? Man, that's a lot.

If you have a story that is heavily rewritten, you have the option of submitting it as a new story with a new title (assuming you can think of a new title). If it's just some edits, then you have to wait a bit. Yes, I think two weeks is possible; eventually, they will get to them. You might think of submitting the edited ones more gradually - like one or two, and then waiting for those to clear before sending in more. I'm not sure where I would draw the line between "rewritten" and merely "edited." That is a judgment you will have to make.
