Hello, I'm a new author, I submitted a story on 2 March and haven't seen it posted or heard that they wont post it. I was just wondering what I should do. Thanks.

Also- did you copy/paste the text or upload a document file?

Ten days is a long time, but not completely unheard of, especially if you uploaded the file instead of pasting it.

I submitted a story (as a WORD file) last week. Took about 4 days to post.

4 days is about right most often, if there is no contest running. Sometimes it takes more than a week. Sometimes longer if the story is really fucked and the Editors pass it around for a laugh (not meaning Hossrox story is one of those - it may simply have slipped through the cracks).

I've never had one posted in fewer than 10 days and I always paste. I think some of you have a skewed sense of how long it takes, either because you're always posting contest stuff or because known authors get posted faster.

S'nothing to do with recognised authors - my early stories posted faster than my current ones.

Perhaps it's the time of year? Everyone very into their writing as a New Year resolution thing or something?
I've also only entered one contest.
4 - 6 days is average, 10 or so days is acceptable. Longer than that is unusual.
