Submitted a name change, still pending

I submitted a name change as a story just as it is described in the faq, but it's been pending for almost a week. Can I please have my name changed? Does the website need more story auditors? I love to read stories.....

Story edits, even a simple name change, can take weeks. They are a lower priority than new stories. The site has gone through a major update on the story side, and they are still working through some nagging issues. Go look at the threads in the Author's Hangout. If there are issues getting new stories approved, then story edits are going to be delayed as well. Once you hit three weeks, message Laurel and politely inquire about the status.

Thanks for the explanation. I submitted a name change around Thanksgiving.
Also a request to change my main email. Can't get the site to accept the new email, never works.

I submitted mine weeks ago, eventually just gave up and deleted the request. The incorrect title stands. They aren't going to process name changes.
