I have been toying with a storyboard concept that explores the desires and arousals of a middle aged married couple who both find themselves having acquired submissive tendencies. It raises questions of how can a submissive man satisfy the same desires in his wife and vice versa. She doesn't know how and is frustrated with the conflict. I want to avoid the common foil of having a dominant man control both spouses yet fully sate the arousals of the wife while placing the husband in an ongoing situation that might be more than he can live with even though his sexual desires might be satisfied.

For the husband, it is physical satisfaction of having a woman control his sexuality, a woman who herself is aroused by pushing him well beyond his rather tame vanilla BDSM inclinations. The wife on the other hand is vulnerable to seduction not by a BDSM aficionado but by an older man, maybe a widower who burns with a desire to possess her as his woman even though she has a husband she loves. It's not just a sexual ownership but a complete surrender emotionally as well. He becomes her man; dining with him and his friends, his family, his 'wife' in every respect when she is with him even with him knowing she will return to the husband she loves.

I've had this story floating around in my head for a couple years now and can't seem to flesh it out without running off the rails into absurd fuckery. Has anybody run across anything similar or perhaps have had similar storyboard ideas?

This is purely a matter of subjective taste.

Personally I would tend to go with a scenario where each goes his/her own way, possibly foreshadowing the break-up of the marriage. Both husband and wife could independently, for example, find him/herself seduced and 'enslaved' by a more powerful character.

I suggested something along these lines in a recent SI thread regarding a predatory 'relationship therapist'.

It could be the same person who enslaves them or it could happen separately. You may raise the unrealistic 'co-incidence factor' here but it's your idea, after all, that they both start having these submissive feelings at around the same time. Why not have each pursue them?

How the story develops would be, again, your choice, but my preference would be for them to end up opposite each other, gagged, naked and strapped to flogging benches, each viewing the other in horrified, wide-eyed surprise...
