Submissions: quick question

Recently submitted a new story, but need to edit something and for the life of me I can't figure out where the edit options are in order to do so (as in remove story so I can re-submit under a different name) while the story is in"pending" mode.

I realise the story will go back in queue and it will take longer to post, but any help with this matter would be appreciated.

I believe one re-submits with EDIT appended to the title and enter a comment in the NOTES box.

Another question

Speaking of submissions, does anyone know what the current turnaround time is (roughly speaking) between Pending and Posted?

I put one up last month that took 8 days.
The only other one I've had was a contest entry, which took less than 8 hours.

Resubmit under a different name? I don't think you can do that with adding EDIT and resubmitting. As far as I know you'll have to delete and submit it again under the other name.

Ok, so now I am confus'ed, Dampy. I resubmitted this morning, all the chaps with EDIT in the title line and "please delete" in the notes. Are you saying there is another way to delete "PENDING" submissions? If so, where is this elusive delete button. OR do you mean that I must wait until it's posted in order to delete the moment that it is posted, which means it will delete about three days after it is posted.

But I didn't get you either. You submitted as (let's say) CharleyH, but now you want the story to appear under some other name, not CharleyH, right?

In that case, I think a simple EDIT bext to the title won't do and you have to delete (after it posts) and resubmit.

It's taken me 5-6 days for each story so far (except the contest sub which was up the next day).
