I haven't contributed here in years. So, I was just wondering about how long (Ballpark) it takes for a story to be reviewed and published? I don't remember how long from the last 2, but honestly, it's been so long that it could have changed drastically in the interrum.

it seems that the longer the story is, the longer it takes. i've had stories posted in 48 hrs. and i've also had stories take 8 days. there are a lot of variables involved. just submit your story, they'll get to it when they get to it.

From 2 hours to 5 days.

My shortest story took about 5 days and my longest story took about 2 hours. So go figure.

The long story was submitted near the end of a recent contest, so I assume the site owner green-lit it quickly so it would have a fair chance to compete with other stories submitted for the contest.

I submitted the first yesterday, and I'm working on my second. The last forum I posted to almost broke, because I wrote so much. (And I took out my frustrations on people until I was asked to leave. Fair warning, I'm a bitch.)

So, 5 days is a good estimate? I don't want to overload the volunteers. Fortunately, this one is high enough turnover, I doubt I'll be able to flood it to death with an inadvertant Denial of Service attack, but I want to keep the people who work here in mind.

Sorry, I don't know how long it was. I have a copy I can check, but I've written much longer pieces. Also, the one I'm working on will probably be extremely long, since the last one basically jumped right into the scene.

Oh, and Rea? I love that avatar.

There is as there always has been only one person checking all the stories. Laurel is one of the site owners and in charge of stories.

If you have any problems with a story, PM her. E-mails don't work. Too much spam I'd guess.
